LOL. I think he actually helps them out, but they are still not good enough to get by Miami or Indiana.
Does anyone know how the CBA works? The Lakers have to pay him 7.7 million The Knicks are giving him 1.6 million Is MWP going to make 9.3 million next year or will he make 7.7 million. Lakers pay 6.1 million, Knicks pay 1.6 million?
I think he's actually a good fit with melo - as long as he improves from 3 or limits them. He can guard the strongest/best forward - and melo can guard the other.
He's just collecting a paycheck at this point. Then again, it's not like other Knicks players are doing much more.
Told you it was his intention all along to go to the Knicks. He was sending all those crazy tweets to prevent other teams from bidding on him.
I think since he was never claimed off waivers, and became a free agent he will make 9.3 mil going by the numbers you have there. If he were claimed, then tgat team would pay a portion.
It'll be interesting to see if they slide Melo back to the SF but I think you're right the more important thing will be who will match up with the PF on defense.
NY and Brooklyn continue to try and 'one up' each other. Oh, you got Garnett, Pierce and Terry? Yeah, well we're about to get Andrea Bargnani! (LOL) Cool. We just signed Andrei Kirilenko. You did? Well we just signed Metta World Peace. PS(from Brooklyn, with love): Your PG just retired and we signed him to be head coach. So take that! Ha.
I love it!! Let NY sign all the 35ish players in the league! Heck they might end up getting a CITY discount from AARP!!... ....... ....... .......
Knew he was full of it, good luck Woodson dealing with Melo, Amare, JR Smith & Artest - egotistic, fake thug and a crazy bunch right there.
They did better this year than many expected. Sure they flamed out in the playoffs but I'd say the Knicks players did more than just collect a paycheck this year.
