OK. And I believe that his bad defense going viral and (possibly) hurting his MVP chances last year absolutely motivated him to be better. You really think that rep had no effect on him?

 

Yeah. Lin is alright but his fans are terrible. They moaned and whined for years after Lin was off the team talking about how he was better than Harden and how the Rockets were racist for featuring Harden ahead of Lin. One of his fans made that video and social media ran away with it. It took years to get rid of the majority of them from this site, mostly because it became clear Lin is at best a backup PG and Harden is a yearly MVP candidate.

 

That video was unfair at the time, too. A similar mix could be compiled about Larry Bird, or Magic Johnson's defense, too.

 

Media knows they can't shame Harden anymore... and they have to give credit now since he'll be winning MVP this year... and it might just be unanimous too.

 

Anti-Harden fans are shifting criticism away from his defense and towards his foul baiting maneuvers (which he relies on less this year) and imagined travel on his patented step back.

 

Harden def lost the MVP award last season because of your trash vid. StephASmith watched the vid and was obsessed over it, WTF.

Hope that youtube money was worth it, man. SMH.
