That's obviously the defining MVP moment.

When he goes up to pick up his MVP, that clip will be played on the projector for the world to see.

    RIP Wesley Johnson

PS: Wish it was Austin Rivers instead

I know the conventional take is that James deliberately hesitated for the purpose of staring the poor guy down, before sticking a dagger in his heart.

But it never looked that way to me. It looked to me like everyone on the court was expecting an offensive foul to be called, and were all momentarily stunned when it didn't happen.

So it created this sort of surreal moment in time where nobody quite knew what to do. Very brief. You can see James stop himself for just a second while he processes what just occurred, then realized no whistle had blown and play had not stopped. Then he gathered and nailed the three, and it was a glorious moment.

This quote from USA Today says exactly what I thought was going on from when I watched it:

"After the game, which the Rockets won, 105-92, for their 14th in a row, Harden said he meant no disrespect by the staredown.

"I was just trying to figure out what he was doing," Harden said. "I don't know. I was looking at him and he was looking at me. ... I was going to shoot it, but I was waiting to figure out what was going on. I was confused. And then I shot it." "

Not like I have any particular sympathy toward the Clips or Johnson - he was just the guy unfortunate enough to be on the other end of this event - but people throwing around words like 'deliberate disrespect', I think have got it wrong. It was just a moment which surprised everyone in the building, watching on tv, and on the court - including James.

And no, it was not an offensive foul - he did NOT 'extend his arm'.
