Nah dude it's all about SportVU now. You just hit "sort up" on opp fg% and get a list of the NBA's best defenders.

So this guy cherrypicks a few situations supporting his bias and passes it off as gospel. Journalism at it's finest.

How about cherry picking some examples but not putting it in the perspective of the entire game? How about absolutely not providing an ounce of statistical data to back up his assertions (basically the eye test)? What about not addressing the fact that harden leads defensive statistics in a number of categories but somehow managing to reach the conclusion that harden sucks at defense anyway? What about addressing the fact that the rockets have maintained the second best defense in the league without two of their best defenders? Other than ariza, where's your defensive stud in a lineup of black, DMO, harden and Canaan (now Johnson), none of whom are known as defensive stalwarts (although I think DMO may be)? Harden can't be below average on that team if they're still the second best team on defense in the NBA. And how about saying crap like 10 of our wins are against below .500 teams, as if to ignore the fact that the other 10 are above .500 teams, including a number of offensive juggernauts whom we've spanked defensively?

This article is the definition of cherry picking. He had to cherry pick these instances and ignore any good defensive footage he came across to make his point. That is cherry picking. There is a amazing video of a CF member out there that shows HarDen's improved D as well. Someone tweet it to him.

See guys, you can't trust stats or video. You have to trust a half dozen screen shots because those fully capture a guy's abilities.

I'm SURE you couldn't find ANY screenshots of Paul George or Lebron caught out of position or ball-watching.

What a joke. The heights of ridiculousness being reached to try to discredit our star SG are starting to reach historical proportions.

I'm going to type an article with snapshots of Chris Paul making careless passes and title it "Is Chris Paul REALLY a good playmaker?" and answer it no. Let's see if ESPN will publish it because the quality of work this author did is basically at the level of my hypothetical article.
