i'm not getting my hopes up for rounds 2 and 3. they will be busts. but 4, 5 and 6 are going to be damn good and get paid by other teams in 2020.
Difference is, none are like JJ Watt. One would be silly not to protect ones $100million investment - especially if they want him to play at an elite level beyond the next three years.
Here's my thinking on what I'd do, at this point, if I'm the Texans: I'd look to move back in the first. Try and pick up a second third round pick. 1st- Corey Coleman or Sterling Shepard (whoever is left) 2nd - Best TE left (Henry still left?) 3A- Carl Nassib 3B - Best center available (Max Tuerk?) 4 - Javon Hargrave (although he's probably a less traditional nose) Other players I'd love that don't fit into these projections, but would be ideal if we select those positions in different orders: Braxton Miller Beau Sandland Vernon Butler Noah Spence Devontae Booker
I with you on this. Thought Mancz was one hell of a UFA pickup. Even though he wasn't projected to play much or at all, he did manage to get in all 3 games to start the season before getting hurt.
I think we need to be ready to move up for Buckner (or Bosa) if he falls as low as 8. Put him opposite Watt with Clowney and Mercilus and you are going to get to Andrew Luck. That should be the Texans prime directive. But the Jimmy Johnson philosophy of drafting more players to get 1 great player is valid. With the bust rate of the NFL draft it just good hedging, plus it strengthens your depth for the inevitable injury issues. Up for Buckner and pay the premium, or down if someone wants Lynch @22 and is willing to pay the premium.
buyers market for #22 pick no one around us needs a QB, will be many trade options for a team looking to get into that range
was hearing 610 on my way to work- Can you believe that in drafts 2013 and 2014 (We managed to draft only 2 out of like 16 draft picks that panned out) wow thats not good. do you trust this front office to make the correct picks?
But last year (2015) that had a very solid draft. 1: pick 16 (16) Kevin Johnson (CB, Wake Forest) 2: pick 11 (43) Benardrick McKinney (OLB, Miss. St.) 3: pick 6 (70) Jaelen Strong (WR, Arizona State) 5: Pick 39 (175) Keith Mumphery (WR, Michigan St.) 6: Pick 35 (211) Reshard Cliett (LB, S. Florida) 6: Pick 40 (216) Christian Covington (DT, Rice) 7: Pick 18 (235) Kenny Hilliard (RB, LSU)-

1st - Dodd, Billings, Butler 2nd (even if you have to trade up) - Shepard, Boyd 3rd - Best OL available 4th - Ben Brauneker 5th - Best RB available 5th - Best S available 6th - Best WR available Dream draft for me...
2014 wasn't A+ or anywhere close but Clowney, Blue, Hal and Sua Filo def panned out and CJ, Savage, Pagan & Ballentine are still holding roster spots
we took Sua Filo in the top of the 2nd RD: In no way has he pan out.. I hope he can show some good play this year
Final mock Rd 1 Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor Rd 2 Bronson Kaufusi, DE, BYU Rd 3 Austin Hooper, TE, Stanford Rd 4 Joe Haeg, LT, North Dakota State Rd 5 Max Tuerk, C, USC Rd 5 Joe Dahl, G, Washington State Rd 6 Daniel Braverman, WR, W Michigan
Draft day!!!!! Since the 1st round is tonight.. I would personally prefer Ryan Kelly in the 1st but I wouldn't be upset if they go WR. If they're choosing between Fuller/Coleman I would go Coleman Coleman just seems to be more of a gamer that isn't afraid of contact ala Steve Smith, where has Fuller seems to be more Ted Ginn
Who beside Johnson and hopefully Strong. Cliett and Hilliard and Mumphrey are worthless. Maybe McKinney and Covington will work out in the future.
I have pretty good sources. 99% Coleman from Baylor will NOTTTT be picked at 22. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Pancakes put him on his latest mock draft. Whatever he says, doesn't happen.
