hasn't Lance had Fuller in his mocks going to Texans for awhile now? http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/mock-drafts

If I'm the Texans and all WR's are still there I trade down and grab one later in the first/early second then use those extra picks to trade back up and get Kelly. That's obviously a long shot but would be the dream scenario.

He has. Not sure why the change of heart all of a sudden. Lance pretty much named every position of need as possible picks in his last tweet. Not much of an analysis IMO. But don't think anyone has a real idea of which direction the team is going. To their credit, they've been pretty good about not telegraphing their pics in the past.
Can someone explain to me why Treadwell isn't talked about more at 22 for the Texans? The reasoning I've seen is that his skills are too similar to Hopkins and we need a speedster to compliment Hop. I am really struggling with this logic. Hopkins is so good I wish we had three or four of him. Why would we pass on a WR because his skills are too similar to Hops? I'd LOVE Treadwell at 22, but it seems like most pundits find that far-fetched and peg us with Coleman or Fuller. I don't get it. Take the best player not the fastest guy!
Reed or Billings fit the bill IMO. Both guys can play DE and move inside on 3rd down. Also possible replacements for Wilfork down the line.
I think Doctson is the better comparison to Nuk than Treadwell but I agree with your general comments. Like would you rather have two Hopkins (albeit Doctson is a poor man's Nuk) or Hopkins and Ginn? Who cares that they share similar traits? Marshall and Alshon aren't burners and they were lethal together in Chicago.
I really like Billings but I think he fits as more of a 3-4 nose versus 3-4 DE. He'd be a nice replacement for Wilfork once he retires. If we're looking DE, I guess Dodd could be an option at 22. Does anyone know much about him? His situation sort of reminds me of the Hopkins / Watkins relationship as he's always been overshadowed by the higher regarded Shaq Lawson in the same way Hopkins was with Sammy Watkins.
I wouldn't be mad if they took Treadwell at #22. You will have two redzone threats not including your running back and that is something we have sorely needed. I'm still hoping they wait and take a DE/OL first round and somehow grab Sterling Shephard in the second I understand their lust for speed tho. They obviously want that WR/Playmaker they take to be able to double as a punt/kick returner. They really should need better coverage on those kicks IMO
He's difficult. I think he probably has to stand up and play as an OLB in a 3-4, but even then he's probably a bit big and not as quick as you'd like. But I don't see him 2 gapping an odd front. I don't think he quite has the type of power you'd prefer. He's kind of a tweener for a 3-4. Probably a better fit in a 4-3 where he can just drop his hand in the dirt and shoot the 7 gap every down. Keep in mind he also played against every team's second best tackle, playing on the strong side. Shaq Lawson always lined up across from the other team's left tackle, not Dodd. They didn't move back and forth at all. I think he's probably best as a strong side 4-3 DE, not the defense the Texans run. Anybody less than a very long 6'3" can't play DE in the Texans' defense in the base package. Ideally, they'd prefer someone 6'5" or 6'6" with long arms like Chris Jones. Someone 6'1" with 33" arms is only going to have problems getting their hands inside and on the chest and standing up 6'7" tackles with 36" arms. It is same reason in boxing they always favor guys with longer arms. Longer arms mean you can hit them from a distance where they can't hit you.
Doesnt Brock struggle with the deep ball? What's the point of having burners if the QB struggles to get them the ball? Give me a clone of Hopkins and our offense would be devastating to deal with. Good luck Def. coordinators.
Appreciate the analysis and color. I had forgotten about Chris Jones. Ignoring the motor concerns, he could be a nice target if we traded back a few slots.
