The Magic are looking to add depth at center and point guard. They're buying out Turkeyglue and letting Udrih go, so they have money.

I don't necessarily think they want to pay $30,000,000 next year for both Lin and Asik, and I don't know what we'd get in return, but it's fun to think the Magic would take them both in their Dwight Howard trade exception.

Magic Looking To Add Depth At Point Guard, Center

The Orlando Magic are looking to add point guard and center depth before the start of training camp.

Orlando will not re-sign Beno Udrih, who was acquired last season in a trade deadline deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

One free-agent possibility is A.J. Slaughter, a 6-foot-3 guard who has played well for the Magic in summer-league practices.

Don't see a fit there. "Add depth" typically doesn't mean taking on $40M worth of contracts. :) Also, as you said, can't see what we want back. That team is mostly prospects and HOU is in win now mode. Afflalo? Good player but we already have Harden, Garcia and Parsons on the wing spots.
