Just wait for some tweaks here and there. There is no way Les and DM are going to be an 8th seed twice. Also, while the Philly talks have merit (as I mentioned during our horrendous season last year), please remember, DM likes a smoke screen. NN is a popular choice, but we have a history of high-risk, high reward acquisitions. Shoot, even our new "Birds" took an offseason, but they were in the works for a long damn time. (Fly Ry and EG) Lat "ear" I heard is that Mr. Young Footwork is still in play, for cheap. And, with this ties to #FOE it has become pretty clear he wants out. Just FYI. The dream is still one of the birds, so don't give up quite yet. Allegedly, we're looking for another big/tweener who can shoot beyond 2 ft (Hi,Dwight) and a PG who will run the PnR the way MDA prefers. Synonym for happy is lukewarm Unfortunately, some of this DMo nonsense is holding things up. I promise we'll be better than 8th. This is not the final roster. My last talks with Ne tell me otherwise. He could have received more than the minimum, but he came here to be part of a winning franchise. He's a smart man, as a i know personally. He didn't come here to struggle to make the post-season. Be patient. Watch the beautiful birds and the firesales. Peace and Love.
Paul Millsap (birds) and Sergio Llull PnR combo guard. (I know Clutch said he is not coming over this year :-( ) please. Those 2 adds would be dynamite and add a ton of versatility to the lineup. Thanks again Codman, as always with the info!
Not buying the Jazz hype one bit. Yeah they've filled some needs and brought in vets but do people actually believe that the additions of George Hill, Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw will suddenly catapult a lottery team to a 4th seed in the West? And OKC at 6 ahead of us and the Grizzlies is absolutely hilarious. Can always count on ESPN for a good chuckle
I really feel like seeds 4-9 are very fluid. Not many games may separate those teams. Utah made some nice vet additions. They are a sound team. They KEY for Utah will be, what happens in close games. Who is taking that key shot? They look like the Hawks West. Same situation with good role players but not a star to make the big plays. We'll see if Heyward becomes that star for them.
Why are people discounting the Jazz? They barely missed the playoffs in a year where they had key injuries and they bring in battle tested vets in Diaw, JJ, and Hill. Not to mention Dante Exum should be coming back from his injury. I could see them making some noise this year.
Dallas -9 love it .remember when they' had signed Parson and they jumped by espn prediction like 4 spots , now he is gone they are a lottery team
Nothing like a Cod Bomb to keep you excited about more improvements to the roster! Thanks, Codman. Anyone got an idea on the latest hints? These are tricky. These are the easier ones: Philly- Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel Birds- Millsap. Also Kyle Korver was another I thought was hinted at once before. He predicted Nene (Hi Mr. Brazil). He also called out Ryan Anderson and said we'd get Birds. (Gordon and Anderson both Pelicans). I'm most intrigued by these 2: - Lat "ear" I heard is that Mr. Young Footwork is still in play, for cheap. And, with this ties to #FOE it has become pretty clear he wants out. Just FYI. - an ear said we may be looking at a "No Mediocre-Amber Rose loving sharp shooter with a shoe addiction" haha.
Terrence Ross and Ricky Rubio would be great additions to this roster. DMO SnT for Ross + 2nd Rounder Toronto 2nd rounder +Rockets 2nd Rounder+ Ariza + Brewer for Ricky Ricky/Bev Harden/EGO Ross/KJ Ryan/Beasley Capela/Nene that looks pretty great to me.Could also see Dekker and Harrel getting some minutes in this scenario.
8th, 5th, whatever. Still not very good. Not a championship goal-oriented approach to personnel management.
People severely underrated hill and Johnson going to Utah. Utah will be legit. They would have been last year but goberts injury set them back. Thunder will be a borderline playoff team. They have no shooting. RWB is a career 30℅ three point shooter -- and that's next to KD.
Clearly ESPN has not paid attention to GOAT 3pt shooter D-Mo's 3pt practice shot chart instagram pics... I think it's pretty fair to be honest. If we have a good year we will be around 45 wins. We are coming off arguably the most disappointing season in franchise history so there should be a sense of urgency we never saw last year. I think most people's expectations around here are just a little high.
