    This is very amateurish. It's not going to happen. Rockets cannot lock DMo out. As I have suggested he can (and will) come in on it about Jan 9th.

    But it won't get that far. Rockets need to make the next move here. They are on the clock.

    Ha. good point. If DMo was a football player on the Texas, Morey would have to put out a press release to the fans demanding to know what the FO is doing. But in Houston, no one really cares about a role-player basketball player who most can't pronounce the name of, like their football players.

    So, Morey might not have to play the media card locally. But maybe he will nationally just to further embarrass JB and Wassermann group.

    You're right. The date might not be negotiable. But, since DMo is a no-show, the Rockets can void the First Right of Refusal notice, thus returning to RFA, then simultaneously sign a new contract that rewrites the dates of the offer and include whatever incentives as a compromise. Of course, you'll need get everyone in a room and hand cuff them to the chairs ... no doubt ... to prevent further reneging on DMo/BJ/s part.
