    Thorpe's ranking:

    1. Clippers
    2. Grizzlies
    3. Spurs
    4. Thunder
    5. Rockets

He doesn't like Houston because (1) Dwight Howard needs to play slow and Kevin McHale, who is not a great X's and O's guy, needs to coach fast, and (2) Omer Asik will be unhappy.

Thorpe doesn't like us because we keep trading away his players. Kmart and Lee.

Another words, Rockets need chemistry. Pretty obvious conclusion.

Yeah, it seems his ranking is influence by his personal relationships with certain guys.

OKC let KMart go: Thorpe no like OKC cuz Lamb no ready.
HOU coached by McHale, who often benched KMart and didn't play rookie Marcus Morris: McHale not good x's and o's guy.
MEM hires Dave Joerger (appears to be Thorpe friend since Thorpe called him "Dave") and trades for Nick Calathes (central Florida native-- trained with Thorpe): Memphis is #2.

It's like the ranking is based on which team does right by Thorpe's homeys.

Perhaps, but I've made the same observation you just made a while ago:

If you put the Clippers at 1 and the Thunder at 4, you don't get an opinion.

Who the hell is David Thorpe and does his opinions matter? He has the Grizzlies over the Thunder? Maybe if Westbrook is out all season.

The grizzles at 2? People are way too high on a team that lost a great coach.

I also predict the Clippers will have the best record in the West next season but i have the Thunder or Spurs in 2 and 3 and the Rockets in 4th.

    1. Clippers
    2. Thunder
    3. Spurs
    4. Rockets
    5. Grizzlies
    6. Warriors
    7. Timberwolves
    8. Nuggets or Blazers

I'd love to see Miami play a full 82 in the WC.

I have never really considered David Thorpe a true NBA analyst. I think he's an outstanding skills coach. But beyond that I don't know. Does anybody know more about him?
