Tim MacMahon has grown on me. He's a Dallas guy for sure...but he's fair. He gets criticized by Mav homers for being too hard on Rondo and Carlisle this season.

Roster wise we can beat anybody. But ultimately McHale's coaching & Moreyball offense scare me. If we don't hit our 3's we have nothing to fall back on

San Antonio is a wild card, I'd still like San Antonio over OKC (if OKC has Ibaka in play), but until Dallas can resolve their chemistry issues the Mavs are my pick.

Every team in the west can succeed in the playoffs.

I like McHale and Morey's approach.

McHale "I dont even look at the seedings cause any thing can change from day to day"

Morey " We feel we can beat anyone in a series (with or without Patrick Beverley)"

Screw these preferences. Give us a schedule and we'll go beat that team.

I pity the West when they're gonna have to deal with D-Mo/Howard/TJones/Smith and 0 minutes for Dorsey & Capela.

They haven't even seen our 4-headed beast of a bigs rotation yet. Feel really sorry for Duncan, for Z-bo, for Aldridge, for Griffin. We stacked up.

If I were the Mavs I'd rather play Memphis... Theyve been slumping and can't keep up on offense...

There has been many a game where our three wasn't falling but we still won. You can make up for these bad traits with good ones (we miss a lot of 3s but we take care of the ball and vice versa)

lol r they serious. lol omg wtf seriously. The guy in front of me at the game last night said the same thing " Houston doing us a favor because we cant beat memphis but we can beat houston" i just busted out laughing and he stared at me. They are delusional if they think this.

Much rather have the Mavs rather than the Spurs, who have what, 5 rings in the last 17 years? No thank you.

If the writer is going to throw the back to back excuse out there then why not mention who the rockets were missing when we played?

Not mad at them for being honest about rather facing us...but saying straight up you'd rather face us than the Grizzlies simply because of the style of play is simply baby bulls$it. Its the playoffs, you play who play. Man tf up Dallas.

This is what I don't understand.

How in the world can someone say, "Carlisle can be great in the playoffs....so I'd rather face the Spurs and Popovich?"

    what??? :confused::confused:

You know we aren't a bad team in transition either. What feeds the transition game? Oh right, defense. Who have we been missing this entire time? Oh right, that big guy, I think his name is Devin Howard, he plays pretty good defense? But sure, let's pile on management and say coaching is the issue, and Moreyball is also ineffective/inconstant. I think posters also love to oversimplify our offense, while they give other teams like the warriors too much credit on how "complicated" their respective offense is. We have more than just 3 and inside. Defense does win championships...

    Right lol

Portland might be the best, but that would mean we would have to face GSW in the 2nd round....

They are likely getting their wish if we do not suck in next a few games. Rockets should win 4 of next six games, then have a record of 56-26. Grizzlies should have a record of 55-27 with winning of 4 of 7. Clippers should be 55-27 after winning 5 of 6.
