i guess this clears up things about which coaches are returning from last year...

    Warriors hire new assistants

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Golden State Warriors hired Jim Boylen and David Fizdale on Wednesday as assistant coaches on Eric Musselman's revamped staff.

Boylen spent the past 11 seasons with the Houston Rockets, including seven as an assistant to Rudy Tomjanovich. Boylen was an assistant coach at Michigan State from 1987-92 following his playing career at Maine.

Fizdale was an assistant at Fresno State last season. He spent the previous four seasons as an assistant at the University of San Diego, where Fizdale and Musselman both played collegiately.

The new assistants replace Phil Hubbard, who took a job with the Washington Wizards, and Mark Osowski, who joined Paul Silas' staff in Cleveland. Hubbard and Osowski were holdovers from the staffs of former Warriors coaches Dave Cowens and Brian Winters.

Hank Egan, Musselman's college coach and top assistant last season, retired earlier in the summer. Assistant coach Tom Sterner, who was hired last August, will be the only returning Golden State assistant this fall.

The Warriors went 38-44 in Musselman's first season as head coach, improving 17 games from the previous season. The team still missed the playoffs for the ninth straight year.

Kinda sad. I still remember when he and one of the other white coaches started sprinting after Mooch when he hit that game-winner at GSW a couple years back.

    Ohhh...how the memories last.

Does Collier think he's gonna get more minutes at GS than here? Doesn't seem likely. Maybe they're the only ones that wanted him, which actually doesn't seem likely either.

lol......who knows! At least he still has a job or chance! He won't get much playing time...they have two veteran centers already. Screw Collier! Adios Jim!
