Maybe we need a hypnotist to make lin believe that its always the 4th q?

Does anyone think Lin's offense might be down because he's expending more energy on defense? Held Jrue to 1-9 FG 3 points but shot awfully except for the 4th, similar thing happened with the Grizzlies

    Lin did outplay Holiday.
    1-9 shooting -> 3 points and 4 TOs (9 assists though).
    He was playing excellent D.
Most of the damage came from Anderson/Smith, primarily because it's not a great matchup for us.

Agreed. Why go with the proven superstar closer when you had Lin tearing it up tonight with 25 percent shooting!

    Jrue just sucks tbh

but another good defensive outing, encouraging from Lin if he can bring it consistently.

Players are going to have bad shooting nights, Lin was having one until the fourth, was so bad but better late than never I guess

    Lin's past 3 defensive assignments:

    Parker 3/11 shooting 6 pts - Lin 13 pts
    Conley 4/14 shooting 11 pts - Lin 18 pts
    Holiday 1/9 shooting 3 pts - Lin 10 pts

Three straight games Lin has shut down and outplayed point guards deemed by most to be far superior than him.

Has Beverley ever had a streak like this?

    What's the fuss?

Houston point guard Jeremy Lin has to be the most overrated player in the NBA. Lin didn't score his first points of the game until the fourth quarter – and he had 10 points in the final period – and he was a complete non-factor in the game.

Earlier this season, Lin lost his starting job to Patrick Beverly but regained it recently when Beverly was sidelined with an injury. Lin has parlayed a couple of good weeks in New York several years ago with the Knicks into an incredible pay-day and a bloated image.

JLin7 had a bad offence game tonight, he needs to bounce back next game quick. If he want to be a 1st tier NBA PG, 10 point in 30+ min won't cut it. after all, win is win.

Lin is a solid guard in this league. He is neither superstar nor scrub but a good contributor. I would have no problem with him either starting or coming off the bench like Ginobili.

Yeah... if Parker was the starting point guard for the Rockets, I wouldn't have a problem either with Lin playing a Ginobili role.

There is theoretically enough scoring power on this team such that even if Lin didn't score (meaning all he did was facilitate), we should still be able to win. Even if he sometimes doesn't do a lot on the offensive end, it may just be that he doesn't need to.

He had as good as a game as Harden, simply lousy.

I enjoy how rating the quality of Lin's performance always depends on the performance of others.

Also wanted to say it's pretty clear Lin's defense has improved from last year. Still drifts from his man too often but it's definitely better. Good to see that.

Harden isn't a superstar. A star yes, but not a superstar. I think the term 'superstar' is thrown around so loosely now a days.

    Superstars :

    LeBron
    Durant
    Chris Paul
    Paul George
    Kevin Love

I refuse to believe Paul George is,in your terms, a superstar. He is a star on the same level as harden in my opinion.
