You just know the Texans are looking at Ed or Nnamdi behind the scenes. Either one would make me feel better

look no further than andre johnson and matt schaub's silly contracts. paying 30+ year old skill position players 15mm/year doesn't exactly lend itself to gearing up for the future.

This would be a huge boost to our defense. I hope he signs here.

I have no qualms with the deal AJ received. He continues to earn his paycheck. Last time I checked this was the NFL and players never see the end of their deals.

Andre is a MUST.. why would we not give him a big contract? He's our only legit deep threat weapon and is a top 5 WR

because allocating that much on a receiver isn't how you win a super bowl maybe?

whatever though...whether it was a smart signing or not is beside the point. the guy said there was no indication that the texans were attempting to "win now". i gave him 2 of the most prominent indicators that we are.

Even at 34 Ed Reed > GQ

I liked GQ, but I don't see him as a pro bowl safety. Ed Reed can play center field and in the box still, and with all the losses the Ravens are taking due to the Flacco contract(IMO will go down as one of worst contracts ever) I don't see why a 34 year old safety who wants to win now would go back to a team who suffered all those personnel losses, unless he chooses loyalty to Baltimore which I could see him doing.

If not we should draft Eric Reid in the first

 The guy is a future hall of famer and two time super-bowl champion, not to mention he has great leadership and playoff experience which put us in a win-now situation.

reed manning j-jo kjax is a formidable defensive backfield. if they're legitimately interested the report that they didn't even make a quinn an offer gains a lot more credence.

I just don't see him signing here for less than $5 mil and that's what Glover would have signed for (based on the Detroit offer). The 49ers could easily beat that offer

    Doubt it.

Reed obviously wants to go to a contender. The Ravens aren't contending anymore and everyone know it.

If Reed goes anywhere it'll be to a team like Houston or San Fran. Maybe even a team like Denver. **shiver**

Even at 34 yo I would love to have Reed. Especially at the same pay or a little less than Quin received on 3-4 year avg. I'm pretty much a homer and usually only develop hate for players on other teams like the Ravens; but not Ed Reed. Reed is the real deal.
