The East is an embarrassment. This is why LeBron is in the Finals every year. On the bright side, if the Celtics and Jazz go on to lose in the first round and the Rockets advance to at least the second round, we'll hopefully have the upper hand in luring Hayward.
I knew Bulls presented the Celtics matchup problems, but I thought Stevens would find a way to adjust. I don't feel like they're done yet though, but it is looking like another first round exit. Not sure why people were so high on the Celtics though, they're one of the weakest 1 seeds in history.
The Celtics have one star...BUT the Bulls have a SUPER-star and a 1st ballot HOF (former SUPERstar)to close games. The Rondo emergence was out of no where.
I don't really know, but i read that Thomas is missing a lot of free throws, if that's true maybe there's something going on...on him at least.
Despite Chicago being an 8th seed beating the #1 it's still not that surprising to me. Even before the playoffs I felt like there were a handful of team that the Bulls could take including Toronto, Washington....basically anyone that isn't Cleveland.
It's scary when Rondo and Wade is on the team I guess, they might wake up on the wrong side of the bed and turn back time
I do as well, and I am from Boston, and currently in Boston. But like I said, this wasn't a big surprise. They massively overachieved during the regular season based on effort. That was the team's ceiling.
not just a top seed, I wonder how they got a top 5 seed! That roster looks ultra mediocre(to me). I've been impressed how they managed to get the 1 seed.
They're overachievers, and Stevens kinda micromanages the regular season. Some of the things they're successful at in the regular season, such as Thomas getting quick 3's off screens, doesn't work in the playoffs because now defenses are putting in more effort, so they're closing harder and fighting through screens. I'm not buying into this playoff Rondo thing though. He played well but not hard to expose IT on defense. He's horrible.
