I really like Sage Steele. Way more knowledgable and personable than most of their host. So much better than Cari Champion or whoever the girl from FirstTake is.

No fear. Perfect running mate for 'Bron. No questions about 'Will he or won't he show up?'

Irving went out of bounce then touched the ball. Isn't that illegal?

I only quoted you to keep track of the people in the conversation lol.

There's a lot of solid coaches right now. I think Snyder from Utah is on his way to being a top 10 coach as well, like Stevens (who's probably in top 7)

I don't know why people discussing coaching. It's absolutely irrelevant in this series. OR most series.

Watching this is becoming painful. 3 legit superstars against IT2 and a bunch of scrubs. Stevens is a better coach than Blatt at this point, but I don't think any amount of coaching can save the Celts.

Both legs should be on the court before touching the ball if I'm right

Someone said Stevens was the 2nd best coach in the league

...and then the refs were "favoring" the Cavs

...and then the Celtics were a 'darkhorse' and were gonna make it a tough series (while it was a close game)

...all while Kyrie is going off

...and finally, the Cavs blew it open and the thread went quiet. :)

That is what I am seeing.
This is kind of how I wonder about the ATL Hawks
Cause they seem like a better version of the Celts

Celts are playing hard but seem to be unraveling

Celtics putting up a great fight, did not expect that. Ow IT, he's a bad boy! If he would come off our bench to score, oh boy ;) Glad we are not on ABC, JVG and company are very annoying.

How can people even rate coaches? Wins? Build a team up from scratch? Managing egos/stars?

Blatt is going to the ECF for sure and we don't even know if he coaches at all.

Yeah, I think any team would have rather played ATL first. Even though I think ATL is better than CLE, playing against LeBron, Kyrie and Love, while being an inexperienced team, is frustrating.

Every team plays hard in the playoffs.

The Celts aren't unraveling; they're just not good enough.

Wins, how the coach manages playing time, how the coach handles lineups, matchups. Respect from coaches and players around the league (and from own team). And I'm sure there's a lot more factors.

Obviously, it's tough to judge the Blatts and the Kerrs of the world, since their teams are so respectively star / all star / superstar laden.

Despite what happens in this series, Stevens is still one hell of a coach. Ainge traded his whole team away and they got to the playoffs.

At the end of the day, the team with the most talent will tend of have a greater chance of winning, than a team with a "great" coach.
