They always overplay Wade's health. Then he comes in and always gives superstar stats.

Deathmatch? Are we in game 7 Spurs vs OKC series? If the Spurs beat OKC in game 6....they would be also well rested due to the blowout nature of the games so far

Wade and Udonis Haslem are going to the NBA Finals for the fifth time in nine seasons -- with a 15-67 season on their record during that stretch as well.

Pacers need a heart transplant. This group can't go any further. Gotta get new players and maybe a new coach. Hibbert has to go. He's the most gutless player on the team.

Paul George is the only definite keeper.

    Lol!!
    Gutless coach.
    Gutless center.
    Gutless team.

You would think that after three straight seasons of failure they'd go in a new direction.
Its no tough task to get the #1 or #2 spot in the East. If they are keeping him because they got the conference finals three straight times that is faulty logic.

Here is the thing: If Bird plans on revamping the roster, I might be OK with seeing what Vogel can do with a fresh set of players. But like you, I believe Vogel is a key part of why the Pacers are gutless.

Vogel will be coaching for his job next year. Pacers need to have a guy on the staff they can promote during the season if things go south.

What's alarming is how little control Vogel has on his guys. In the lockerroom and on the court. There is no motivation going on here, you constantly see guys depressed and exasperated on the court when things don't go their way. There is no vocal leader. Half of the series you just saw Hibbert moping on the bench lol.

Guys don't communicate, there are no huddles, all they do is yell at each other on the court and sometimes they just don't talk at all.

I used to think player coaches were the bomb, but that only works if you have veteran leadership on the court that doesn't require you to micromanage. Miami can do with a player coach, the Pacers CAN'T.

Is it really 3 straight seasons of failure? Or 3 straight seasons of losing to a more experienced team with better players? Independent of coaching, would you take George/Stephenson/Hibbert over Lebron/Wade/Bosh as the centerpieces of your team?

The Pacers have sucked for the last 2-3 months, but before that, they were probably exceeding all reasonable expectations in 2012, 2013, and the first half of 2014. It seems silly to fire a coach after that much success because of a few months of a tailspin.

    +1.

How many teams in the nba would love to be where the pacers are? I mean you lost to lebron all 3 times...he is kind of good you know.
