Gotta admit this **** looks kinda funny, it's impossible not to picture a 1920s iPod in his hand. http://www.psmag.com/uncategorized/the-earbuds-of-1926-work-in-progress-46157/
I truly believe that technology knowledge is way more advanced than we think. The only reason it is where it is in society is because of money. For example, the 4K HD Television was invented long ago, say the 20s. But due to cost feasibility and market opportunity, the TV geniuses decided to release the blueprint steps they took to get to 4K HD. They basically had a gameplan for the next 70 years after they invented 4K in the 20s.
Same thing with the iphone, they invented the current iphone(and the next 20 iphones) 10 years ago. They "update" the same phone and call it a new phone whenever theres consumer demand. iphone25 will include teleportation.
I bet it exists. Gotta figure out air space regulations. The teleporter is to dangerous to release o the public. Exactly!
This isn't really that surprising. A headphone is basically just a miniature speaker with low volume output, so the idea that people would make them this small in the 1920s is not a total shock. The thing to remember is: just because something is invented doesn't mean we're ready to mass produce it or utilize it. The production cost of many of these items has to come way, way down before they are popular purchase items.
You should read this. It's a modern-day Sci-Fi about the US Government grabbing any too-advanced technology. It gets a little Hollywood at the end but I really enjoyed it. Same author as Daemon.
Could be possible. Teleportation and even time travel would be a threat to us all. Even a cure for death would transform us all to soulless lifebots.
It's true. One of the biggest factors that delayed the debut of 4k TV's for nearly 100 years was the lack of 4k media. 4k content and media is just now becoming available on streaming sites like Netflix, YouTube, etc. And even now there still isn't a large amount of it available.
All the modern things like cars and such have always existed. They've just been waiting in a mountain for the right moment. Listening to the irritating noises off dinosaurs and people dabbling outside.
It's very possible if you can think back before 2000, or if you didn't want to get caught watching Sports Machine or Pump it Up after lights out. I don't know that in general headphones (which is what I always referred to them as) are all that modern.
