I understand it just fine. Instead of giving all players an even distribution, the majority of players were in a position to get more than that equal distribution when they became free agents this summer or the next. It's not shocking that they declined it when 63% of them were in position to get more individually. If you are Parsons do you want an equal cut of cap smoothing or a 4 year max deal? No way any guy set to hit free agency now or next summer should have voted for it. Why would anyone hitting free agency this summer or next vote for a $2M check instead of cashing in on their individual free agency? Delly is not a star. Did he benefit more from a $2M check or being a free agent this summer? The majority of the 63% of players who hit free agency are like him, not like LeBron. Collectively, yes. To each individual player, no. And the majority of players were set to cash in.

I hope he chooses someone other than Miami just to break the Miami/Riley lovefest that everyone gives them, but then again if he signs there for 3 years they will be capped out.

Middleton worked for couple of weeks with Wade last summer and he came back a changed player. He picked up a LOT of things from him. He's a great mentor and that's the only reason I am fine with paying him from 2 years. Also to expose the CHeat and Riley. "family". But he wont' come anyway.

Wade going back home to play point guard again? I've always liked Calderon. He's older now but I think he's serviceable. Morey traded for Prigioni so I think it's possible.
