For those interested in all this Dwight-dreaming, here are his post game comments from tonight's game. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-jUzSDU1V8Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If the embed didn't work, because I don't know what I'm doing, here's the link: http://youtu.be/-jUzSDU1V8Y
"Sounds like you could be coming back, or am I reading too much into it?" "You're reading too much into it" -Dwight
This guy has regressed. He still has no post moves! He can't even dominate an era with watered down centers...
Reporters ask dumb questions. Some reporter said this to Brandon Jennings earlier "Hey Brandon you didn't play in the 4th quarter where were you? Surprised athletes don't snap on reporters more often.
This guy is still an upgrade over Asik in the post. I'm good with either one, but would rather have Howard only because he can catch the ball and dunk over people way better than Asik.
edited your quote .. I think the "showing optimism" is important in the context of the question and answer. He doesnt sound like he wants to come back .... not optimistic at all about returning to LA LA Land. That franchise is in turmoil. Sure he's part of the problem .... but its a terrible situation. I dont know what to think about the guy .... So much going on there. He wasnt where he wanted to be .... and isnt happy about it. A team full of future HOFers flops. Injuries and just unable to play as a team. D'Antoni is clueless as to how to use bigs .... Two quality 7 footers and his leading scorrer (after Kobe's injury) is Steve freakin Blake ?!? (before he got hurt too). What a mess!!! I dont know if he'd be more productive in a situation where he was happy or not .... that is one hell of a gamble. Some GM is going to either look like a genius or a goat ..... Houston ??? Brooklyn ??? Hell , maybe Miami in some S&T involving Bosh ??? Atlanta ??? I cant see him staying in LA but your guess is as good as mine when it comes to a destination.
if he gets 'training' from mchale and dream and he still sucks in the post, then he won't get any better.
Trading to Brooklyn is next to impossible because of the s&t restriction if teams are in the luxury tax (Lopez's salary needs to be considered on the books for that to occur), it would require them to dump someone else, maybe 2, and they've already used their amnesty. Plus why would the Lakers do it? if they lose Dwight, they're better off sucking anyway.
