That's my worst fear. We'll sell the farm for him, only to watch him sit the year out with his bad back.

Morey could have finished the Lin Asik stuff last week but he chose to take his time with the offer sheets. Morey is in no rush and I think he is sweating them out and saying, "You think you can get a better offer? go out and we'll see".

He wouldn't do this. Where is he going to go if he pulls this stunt? No competitor has cap space to sign him. He's going to have to choose between Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, which would have been the same options he would have had if he agreed to play. This is false rumor.

I think if we have learned anything thru all this drama, it is, don't trust any random blogger/tweeter. Have any of them been right about anything up to this point?

Fill in the blanks, then rethink your response.

Definitely true. No one really knows what's going on and few, if any, have been right.

Sit out, what does this mean? He is going to refuse to play the ball?

i didn't mean US as in morey i meant US as in the posters of clutch fans.. we wanna know whats gonna happen with howard like 2 weeks ago.. but i think people need to realize it's gonna drag out till for sure after the summer league.

i do think Morey has the upper hand.. especially if Howard DID say he will sit out. he is forcing the Magic's hand to move him. they cannot let him walk and get nothing in return or hennigan will get canned.

So true. Blogging, tweeting etc.. Is the ultimate knee jerk style reporting. I thinks it's closer to throwing mud against the wall and see what sticks method than actually reporting anything based on fact.

I honestly don't know what to believe anymore. Common sense tells me that we have the best offer on the table for Dwight and that a trade should be imminent. But then again, why hasn't a deal been done yet? If the Magic GM is trying to gain leverage against Morey then he's a fool. No one else in the NBA can offer what we can. The longer the Magic wait the more frustrated everyone becomes.

I think Dwight is talking about sitting out if he's in Orlando...in other words, he's demanding a trade. I dont think he would sit out for a new team. He's basically giving the Magic an ultimatum.

He certainly could. Whether or not the rumor is true, it's still possible. Whether or not he plays next year has no bearing on where he signs as a FA. But most people agree this is too much of a mess for him to ever play for Orlando again, which is the only team it says he would sit out for.

Dwight, I served with Hakeem Olajuwon, I knew Hakeem Olajuwon, Hakeem Olajuwon was a friend of mine.

    Dwight, you're no Hakeem Olajuwon.

I don't know if that would be better than OKC's combo, but if we could keep D-Mo and Lamb through all this, then we could potentially have a starting line up of:

    Lin
    Lamb
    J Smoov
    D-Mo
    Howard

This is assuming we keep enough cap room for a max and have Smith come to town to convince Dwight to stay. This is a damn good starting line up IMO.

I know, it makes us feel uncomfortable, doesn't it? Having to step down off our high horse and realize that the guy we consider God around here went through something remarkably similar to the Dwightmare. Coming to terms with it will set you free, though. Don't fight it.

Stephen A Smith just said that the Rockets are insignificant in the Dwight chase, and that Brooklyn is still the frontrunner.

ESPN is bias, and anyone who disagrees is a bandwagon d*** sucker.

    As noted above:

Screamin' A.: This [Lin] situation has no effect on Howard. Not like he'll want to go to Houston now because of Lin. Financially, not much of an impact because Houston has cap space to play with. Howard has given every indication that he wants to be there for one year as a rental and then move on to Brooklyn or a distant number two, Dallas. I say LA is always in the mix. Houston is not a significant part of the mix. Then again, things can change because this is Dwight Howard here.
