I hope he is right. I do not want this bad back diva. The MOST I would give up is K Mart, P Pat, & Toronto pick while taking back only one bad contract. This is fair value for an INJURED player who swears he will not resign with us.

Yup. I'm not worried about awful deals beating us out after Hennigan withstood the full-court press to get Dwight to Brooklyn. If it doesn't make sense for Orlando, he's not going to do it. Tristan Thompson + non-lottery picks is almost as bad as the New Jersey offer. Possibly worse, depending on your opinion of Lopez.

According to multiple sources Magic would likely get Anderson Varejao plus picks and prospects.

I wonder what prospects? Waiters, Tyler Zeller and Tristan Thompson?

Then again if they trade their rookies they could always pull a Ron Artest/Donte Greene type of deal, and agree to the deal now, and just wait until the restriction passes, on the recently signed rookies, to complete the deal.

We offering similar... I think it depends on what Orlando is sending back in bad contracts

Is Varejao expiring? Sounds pretty garbage...their good assets are their rookies who can't be traded for 30 days and their picks are worse than ours and with the exception of the Kings (top 10 protected) pick, they will probably be a playoff team with Bynum and thus the picks with suck.

A good sign to know we aren't getting Dwight is if Morey signs the rookies

Orlando fans are pretty pissed off as well.
Some of them realize what Hennigan is doing, but Morey won't budge.
He'd be an idiot to budge.

Verajao is a large contract like Kevin Martin. Doubt they will keep him as part of their future.

LOL. These people are incredible. The Magic made it perfectly obvious that they wanted no part of Lopez/Humphries at those contracts, but now they'd be interested in Anderson Varejao at over $9 mil per for at least the next two years?

It makes absolutely no sense for the Magic to acquire middling veterans on bloated contracts. Defeats the entire purpose of rebuilding. When will these "sources" learn to think from Orlando's perspective instead of Dwight's or (insert big market team here)?

Martin is expiring. Verejao is not. Enormous difference.

Provided the reports are true, which I doubt, it goes back to the point I (and others) were making. The Magic are just going to get stupid and accept some really dumb offer eventually. We can't control that, no matter how much hardball we play.

I don't buy it. They're going to "leak" offers and play along, just like they did with Brooklyn, but nothing about how they've managed the situation tells me they'd accept some junk like that. The Houston offer is better from every perspective - picks, prospects and expirings in return.

Not sure if serious with this Varejao bull****. Martin's expiring K vs. Varejao's K is no contest. This report has to be super-bogus. I think the Rockets are still in the driver's seat and the media is just kicking up dust to be douchebags.

Magic should spread rumor that Irving must be included in any Cavs deal.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to their prospects vs The Rockets and Martin Vs. Varejao.

Their offer seems to be somewhat similar in respects, but it looks like the only question is... What team is willing take back the most salary??

There is no word yet on what contracts would be coming back to Cleveland if any so if this is out there strictly to get Houston to up its bid I would stick to my guns and the current offer and see what happens.

Not when Martin's $12.4M comes off the books after this year and Varejao has another $9M due next year.

He should sign the rookies to give Orlando a big screw you. What they want for an INJURED player who swears he will not sign is totally ridiculous. Let the Cavs or Lakers have him. There are no guarantees he will ever be the same player after back surgery just as there are no guarantees he will sign.
