High character stuff from Dwight, I applaud you.

Shame we have such narrow minded stupidity in 2015. My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected.

Why does it surprise you? Look at how much the Rockets fans hate T-Mac even though he did (and still does) a lot of good projects. Look it up.

Anyways, Dwight will always be hated by the media/fans no matter what he does. The moment he spurned LA he was permanently branded with the scarlet letter and always will be unless he wins a championship.

I remember seeing an interview before his rookie year in which Dwight said his big goal was to have a cross added to the official NBA logo.

I'm not sure David Stern or Adam Silver would have endorsed that idea.

Dwight Howard has no problems addressing "safe" political issues, but he was quick to take down his #FreePalestine tweet and quickly apologize for even posting it in the first place. I didn't see him wear an "I Can't Breathe" t-shirt either. He won't be promoting sex education and safe sex either I assume.

Scottie pippen does charity work too.

You know clutchfans only criticize the basketball portion of a player.

Jeremy lin does lots of charity work, that doesn't change my mind that he's a terrible point guard.

Ghandi and tmac both didn't lead any teams past the first round, but ghandi didn't throw his boys under the bus

I love the way this community has responded to this tragedy! No rioting or looting, but a lot of uniting together in prayer.

More idiocy spewing from the great Kwame. It's pretty obvious he had to take the Palestine tweet down because of the Rockets' owner.

My point exactly, with the sore exception every knows Scottie Pippen is a jackass in real life. Nonetheless, a winning championship caliber jackass.

T-Mac is known to be a good overall guy but never got out of the first round on any team he led. J-Lin is a great guy as well.

I would rather hang out with T-Mac/J-Lin any day of the week as long as I'm not trying to win an NBA championship with them.

Tragic what happened there. Completely senseless. It's made news here in Australia as well.
But respect for Dwight. I love hearing stories about those fortunate through sport or entertainment and loaded with cash, giving something back to the community or those in need.
They don't have to do it. But there aren't enough who do.
