Still a lot of time before we are eligible to trade players with new contracts and still got a tough schedule ahead. Smartest thing to do is wait and see where we are closer to the trade deadline.
Rockets need help this season. Brewer Howard contracts are too big for the production we receive in return.
Typical impuslive mindset. No move we make today will get us a ring. Howard, if anything, is a great playoff performer.
The reality is that there isn't likely to be much of a trade market for Dwight Howard even if the Rockets wanted to. Howard has a player option for next year, so who ever we wanted to trade him to would only have a half year guaranteed with him. If you're disappointed with Howard, why do you think some GM is going to want him so bad to give something worth building around, for a half year of Dwight? Good teams who want him don't have any young assets to give up. Bad teams aren't likely to want to rebuild with him and probably couldn't get him to resign with them anyway.
I think it is best to jettison the declining player and go with younger rising ones. Dwight is in serious decline - and players who never developed their skill game fall off FAST when their athleticism wanes as Dwights is now. Move on, trade DHo to the next sucker. DD
and when the playoffs come around and Dwight is the ONLY player who shows up and balls, all these critics shut their stupid mouths. Its just convenient to bump your D suckers right now.
Has this been posted? Blinebury acknowledges what must be causing Morey to lose a lot of sleep, that some team is going to offer Dwight a monster contract, and the Rockets are going to lose another asset for nothing, just like they lost Parsons. What's the old saying, barring injuries, a team is what their record says they are? Well, the Rockets are an undisciplined mess, some nights Jekyll and some nights Hyde, and unless we see a sharp turnaround, I'd be very surprised if Dwight isn't shopped. http://www.nba.com/2015/news/featur.../rockets-future-with-dwight-howard/index.html
They are keeping him around for the playoffs i understand this. But right now this is hurting there playoff positioning. I mean its going to be another on the road series against a top 4 team, and you will just see another okc series like end of 2013 was. Dont get me wrong Dho was dominate factor back in day, his days are dwindling down and everyone stating this and i dont think this year hes going some how jump out come playoff time. He needs to go somewhere where hes more like the 3rd of 4th option. They should just trade him come Feb, hes an expiring and will net houston top draft pick and maybe someone who can rebound at center and shoot some 3's..
Man imagine what a Marc Gasol (any center that has a some shot/shoulders not bigger then his head) can do in Houston...
Nothing, we have no system. why do people blame Howard when he doesn't get the ball? Harden pretty much iso's and Howard battles for rebounds. People keep saying he is in serious decline but so are his touches.
Do you comprehend how bad his offense is? You know if it were Yao, Harden would pass it to him 12 times a game....
No, problem is we don't know how to use Dwight Howard properly and it's mind blowing. Watch Dwight beast once he leaves!!
