The Lakers have nothing to build around Dwight for the future: Kobe is 34, 16th NBA season Nash is 38, 16th NBA season Gasol is 32, 11th NBA season Peace is 33, 13th NBA season In essence, their entire roster is built for the next two seasons. Neither Kobe or Nash will be traded, so there's no residual value from them. I don't imagine Peace would bring in much. With the way Gasol is playing (and the $38 million he's owed over the next two years), he's not going to bring in a transformative player. So the Lakers will have Dwight, Nash, no young prospects, and ~$30 million in cap room to sign another 10 players in 2014. Let's say they sign one max player at ~$15 million out of free agency. That leaves $15 million to sign 9 players...essentially all league minimum players.
Actually you forgot one thing! This is Dwight Howard we're talking about. His flaky, primadonna and ass hat disposition make anything thing he says worthless.
I'll trade 10+ points to not see Howard's stupid face or listen to his antics in the local press all day every day.
imagine the insanely remotely small chance of the following scenario... BigMaloe searches the interwebs during the off-season after a dissapointing year for the lakers, the clippers, the hawks while the rockets did well only to realize morey pulled off the following best ever GM moves in history... SnT for cp3 with lin and extras... SnT for dwight with asik and extras... SnT for jsmoove with ppat and extras... Cp3 Beard Beauty Jsmoove Dwight Big4>>>>>Big 3 :grin::grin::grin::grin: ahhhhh if only.... ... suddenly BigMaloe wakes up out of his dreamland to realize this was all jus an escaping dream exiting his reality...
The home crowd will love him wherever he plays. LA Money is the same as Money from any where. If CP3 also becomes a UFA then a trio consisting of CP3+Harden+Howard is as good a chance as any. It's a small chance, but it's not impossible. Kobe and the pressure he puts on his teammates to win a championship...plus Dantoni not giving a ____ about defense...plus Nash possibly being too old to be what he has to be for them could equal Dwight exploring his options.
oh, i didn't notice that, sorry. Nice drama making skills by the writer though, he clearly was talking about Orlando in that whole clip.
lol, dwights gonna be good businessman oneday. might leave to someother team meaning if we dont win, yall better offer the house for me and also giving other teams hope to raise that price. clever. at the end of the day, lakers are gonna have to shed some salary meaning pau or metts gets traded or one of them gets amnestied.
True, but why would you want a trio of those three a million years from today? I don't think that would do the Rockets that much good.
yeah....the same guy who bought $20M house a week after the trade went thru......is gonna leave LA now smh...
