    It's not a random guy, it's a realtor.

That doesn't make it 100%, but it's not a "I heard from a friend of a friend who knows someone" story. It's someone actually at the company.

As for the media, what does Dwight really have to lose, if this were true? I mean, he's two days from free agency. Is there really an advantage to keeping his intentions a super secret? I'm sure he'll keep his mouth shut to follow NBA protocol, but for him personally, what does it matter if it "leaked"?

Confidentiality agreement? Loose lips if true.

    No.
He could buy a house in all 30 of the NBA markets this offseason.

Also if Dwight decides before July 1st he wants to go to Houston and buys a house here it still isn't tampering. Houston just can negotiate or talk to him, but if he assumes we'll make an offer and acts on it, there's nothing the league can or will do.

Sounds like he's just reading the board. Doubt he has any idea.

Apparently Adam Clanton confirmed it on 790. Don't shoot the messanger, another poster said it.

I know Allen personally. He wouldn't tweet it if it was BS. However, he admits it's word of mouth and he hasn't seen him in person.

To be fair, lots of NBA players who don't play in Houston have houses in Houston. Sure is curious timing though.

0% chance it's true. Dwight would not do this before free agency.

This might be the best Rockets thread ever posted in the NBA forum.

What is the downside? See my post earlier on this page. If he's decided on Houston, other than for following NBA protocol (and he still is, because it's not like he publicized this), what advantage is there to keep this super secret?
