I hate when Dwight talks about injuries. He should just say how he feels and that they'll wait for a thorough evaluation. Right now, he says it's nothing major, yet he still hasn't even had an MRI, which he'll get tomorrow. Then he downplays it because it's just a bruise like it's nothing, but then says he's in a lot of pain. Can't forget that "just a bruise" kept him out over a month already, after dealing with it for almost a whole season. Actually hit the back. Dwight turns his knee at the last second. And this dr shouldn't be saying he should play next game...there's no way he can make a guess like that from video. Look at what happened to Kostas.
His personal opinion seems fair, though none of us may agree. Bigger problem to me is Dwight putting the ball on the floor (slowly) and getting stripped. Perhaps there are some fouls, but you need to face up and destroy these smaller guys around you. Obviously, getting injured prevents those opportunities.

Like others have said, it's not just whether he plays. It's whether he plays at full capacity. Playoff Dwight, and we can win this series. Anything less than Playoff Dwight is a liability. I'd say this team was snakebit this year, but you miss a lot fewer games when snakebit.
I'll remain optimistic. No one wanted to believe Dwight when he said there was nothing structurally wrong with his other knee. No one wants to believe him when he says he doesn't think this latest injury is major. Dwight gonna be back to #PlayoffDwight. We the team of destiny!
Team cannot afford to lose d12 if it wants a chance. Night cannot stop Playoff d12. Pray prAy that it's not bad and he's able tO shake it off.
You do realize he's saying this injury is basically the same as the injury that had him out 6 -8 weeks, right? A lot of people are saying they feel better about it, after he said that, but It's still troubling. If he couldn't go the rest of tonight, there's no way he'll be good by Thursday. It's going to be the same thing, as during the season, when he was playing before the rim and a step slow. I wouldn't be surprised if they sat him game 2. We win, he sits again, but if we lose, he plays, even in pain.
He should just play through it, I don't care if he risks long term health, though if rest helps, let him sit game 2.
