No harm no foul. There's a chance it was an honest mistake and even if it's not, the gun never got through security.
Also, this has to be yet another reason for players to want to play in Texas over other places in the country. This could have been a REALLY big deal if he was in NY or California.

I don't believe this is illegal any longer, so long as you are licensed to carry and you exit the line immediately upon notification of possessing the weapon. However, this didn't take place until Sept 1 -- so DH would not have been able to use this defense. HB 554 by Springer from the 84th
I think only in Texas can you legitimately get away with this. Having been living away from Houston for a while, I forgot how much we like our guns.
