Fegan wants to save face with potential clients which is why he might be incentivized to put himself in as favorable of light as possible, regardless of how it might affect Dwight. He wasn't acting against Dwight. He was helping a client (Parsons) and himself - Dwight was used, but not against his will and at no detriment to Dwight. It did affect the Rockets however, which is why we don't like him. I doubt that move had much to do with this decision.
Yeah, I don't see why people believe this means Dwight has suddenly turned selfless. It just means he's not an idiot. Anyone paying attention to Fegan these past few years recognizes he's not adequately representing some of his clients.
Sigh. Dwight had every opportunity to ask for a trade and never did. Not once. The two teams who apparently showed the most interest in dealing for him were Milwaukee and Charlotte. Do you really think Dwight is upset that he couldn't leave the Rockets for the Bucks/Hornets? The far-and-away likely scenario is that it's a culmination of things that have been building for years -- unnecessary leaks, lists of demands, putting the agent's wishes ahead of Dwight's, etc. The timing is probably because being without an agent at a trade deadline when Dwight could plausibly be moved is not ideal. So he waited until that ended and then made the move shortly thereafter.
Anyone that thinks that Howard's motives are transparent only needs to watch the SVG interview with a smiling Howard. Also, yes Howard was very close to firing his agent prior to the trade deadline. People are reading too much into this........
Man o man, nobody can beat us on the news today, I thought it's a weekend, but nether expected to be this busy.
More flip-flopping from Dwight. This time with agents. One more #Dwightmare Let's devote an entire SportsCenter on this.
See post above... this theory doesn't add up to me at all. If Dwight wanted a trade that badly, why would he not do the most basic thing -- which is ask the Rockets for a trade? And the two teams that showed the most interest were the Bucks/Hornets -- do you really think he was that eager to leave Houston, which he chose just 2.5 years ago, for the likes of Milwaukee or Charlotte?
lmao some of you are actually thinking that Dwight fired Fegan because he wants to get paid LESS? More likely the opposite. Dissapointed and blames the agent for his trade market.
I don't believe Dwight wanted out of Houston to get out of Houston. I do believe Dwight wants to sign a max deal this offseason. He was going to be fine with a trade if the team that traded him for him was interested in signing him to a max deal. Otherwise he didn't care. There are reports that the situation with the Bucks got to the point of them having actual discussions with Fegan about Dwight's status and trying to see if he would opt in for next year (which they wanted) and were told he would absolutely opt out and pursue a max contract.
