Dwight doesn't want to play with Harden, prefers Orlando-style team or superstar PG?

Glad you added "Just kidding". Otherwise we'd thought you were CH's brother. :)

I agree that Dwight's finally realizing what he had in Orlando wasn't all that bad after all. And really, some coach needs to have the balls to tell Kobe to relax & have some fun on the court. He's such a sour puss during the game. Course fighting for the 7th playoff seed & then getting swept in the 1st round with the talent around him, might make anybody a sour puss.

At 9 pm LA time, I'd like to see Les, DM, McHale, Dream and maybe CP & JH knocking on Howard's door. That'd be awesome!

That brings up a question. Since the teams can't contact FAs before 9 pm Sunday night LA time, are the Houston, Dallas & Atlanta reps all going to be at Dwight's front door at the same time? Is his phone going to be tied up? I realize that in this case, Dwight'll just text players from each team to set up a time to meet. But does anyone know how that would work normally when more than 1 team's pursuing a FA? Enquiring mind wants to know.

If Dwight really wants "his" team, meaning he doesn't want to earn his role as the leader and is afraid that this is Harden's team, then he is childish and stupid. His actions in the past seem to back up this theory.

If he signs here I hope all of the above is wrong or Dwight will be the next Pippen.

I recommend this biographical write up for those who would like an in-depth view into the complex and fickle mindset that is Dwight Howard...

Honestly if this is going to mess our chemistry up sign me up for Josh Smith.

Cpl things, JH and CP can knock on his door at 8:30 lol

But, the way it was setup, well with Lebron, they scheduled times with his agent and he met them all over 2 days at his home in Akron.

Obviously I can't guarantee it would be like that, but I would expect it to be.

Dwight is a drama queen everywhere he's been. Even if he comes here, that won't change.

If Dwight starts trying to play GM, that's when we step away. But these reports just sound like baloney, something written up to add more fuel to the fire but not really anything substantial. Let's wait until he did his 4 trips. After every trip, you know his camp is going to say this and that.

"he'd prefer that guy be a point guard who's going to be passing the ball rather than a shooting guard"

    That is so Jlin. ;)

People can change, you know.

This could really be going through his mind.

He's also been very good everywhere he's been. That won't change.

One of these quotes is not like the other, let's not even touch the ludicrous nature of thinking the Lebron Cavs and Lebron Heat are in the same stratosphere talent wise.

True, but he's also injury prone as well. Is he really the best fit for this team? I'm not sure if he'll really make us that much better.

Dwight's probably just not used to a SG that can make more than 1/3 of his three's.

You know, cuz Kobe sucks at threes despite taking so many of them.

This definitely sounds plausible. Dwight wants to be the #1 guy. And while Dwight can respect Dirk, he knows he'll be retire soon.

So the question is, if we had to choose, Harden or Howard?

    If Dwight wants:

    1. An aging superstar ready to hand him the reigns.
    2. A superstar PG.
    3. A coach who knows how to use big post players.
    4. No state income tax.
    5. Other players who are very good but not superstars.

    Then the choice is clear.

By the way, If that's true, Harden could be the main reason why Dwight will not be joining the Rockets? James needs to attract superstars and not turn them away.
