Clearly wasn't a travel. He hadn't gathered the ball until just before he took his final two steps. Also, you're allowed to take as many steps as you want as long as you are still dribbling the ball. It's a common misconception that you're only allowed to take two steps per dribble. You can take 50 if you want, like stutter steps, provided you don't gather the ball...aka Lebron, CP3 etc.
isn't the rule that you get two steps between dribbles? i'm asking. anyone know specifically what the rule says about traveling. i'll agree this is much better than some ridiculous traveling i've seen in highlights, but it still looks like a travel to me. if you watch the defenders it appears they would also agree as they seemed unprepared for flash's third step w/o a dribble. lol.
interesting. where is the rule written? i'd like to clear up my misconception. surely someone reading this must know where the rule is written that could clear all this up. i'd enjoy the game more if i didn't think all these highlights were ridiculous traveling overlooked. thanks in advance to whoever can point out the written rule.
2 steps, I did bother to pause it and watch closely instead of making an ass of myself and just talking crap.
That was not a travel. Even though the league does let a lot of travels go, people get carried away with the "that was a travel, but they let it go cuz he's a star!" crap. That was two steps after he picked up the dribble.
That move was sick! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-Sa0Re0Ofwo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-Sa0Re0Ofwo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Wade is the closest thing this generation has to Jordan. If Morey can find a way to sign him, I will buy season tickets for the person who bumps this thread.
First of all, he didn't travel. Second of all, the NBA didn't change any travel rules they just corrected the wording to match how the game has been played for years.
