I didn;t know a coach could help players grow to 7 feet?

    He'll make Chuck in to a 7'2 MONSTER:grin:

Very well said. The Lakers defense this series is stinking up the joint big time.

No. That is why we had to let go of Rick.

Can you venture a guess why the Bulls and Clippers hired Vinny over Casey? I was very disappointed by the Bulls (because I like them) and laughed at the Clippers.

    Serious question.

Well the Bulls hired a guy who has been the architect of 3 of the best defenses of the current era in New York, Houston and Boston. Clearly it worked out for them.

And the Clippers are just the Clippers.

What baffles my mind is that Philly passed on Casey for Doug Collins.

Casey had 2 interviews with them and looked like the frontrunner for the job.

Maybe Del Negro kills it in interviews.

In the Clippers case, considering the owner, it might simply be because he's black.

"Actually played in the NBA" and "relates to the players" seems to count for a lot.

As much as it would be great to have Rick back, sometimes you just have to move on. Im sure we would be contenders if we had a big man with RA has our coach

Doug Collins did an admirable job with Philly. Plus Iggy, Brand and Lou Williams were playing with injuries in the playoffs. I doubt if Casey could have produced the same results.

    Summing It Up
Good up and coming coach who unjustly got a bad reputation in Minnesota coaching one star surrounded by a bunch of misfits.* Just needs an opportunity with a club that has a decent roster and managment that has a clue.* Has his flaws but isn’t egotisical so he realizes and acknowledges them in order to get better.* Jury is still out whether he is best suited as an assistant coach because of his strong prepatory and player development skills or can legitimately a good head coach (can excel in game with rotations and tactical adjustments).* But the belief by some people is that he can take mediocre roster and overachieve.
    ------------------------------------------------------
If Casey could not get a winning season with one star on the roster, how could he win with the Rockets roster with so many unusable young players?

I wanted Carlisle when Van Gundy left. As it turns out, Adelman was a slightly better choice, but I wonder if we wouldn't have to worry about finding a new coach if Carlisle were here.
