Absolutely agree. It's strange as Mike D has always been a confidence builder. Complete trust in his shooters, but with Ryno...

Considering how deadly the CP3>Ryno combination to start the season was it was imperative Anderson get some flow and confidence back before the playoffs. Not one to criticise D'Antoni for much, but that was a little disappointing.

Dust off those wings and let him fly! Looking forward to the headline "Flyin' Ryan bombs GSW from 3!" Maybe? Eh?

I agree 100% with OP. Moute has been dog **** and needs to be pulled out the rotation. He’s clearly not all the way back mentally. It does seem Anderson lost his confidence in his shot but shooters need to keep shooting. We’ll need him if we want this series.

show us some evidence, anderson may not play up to his contract, but I never see any bit sign of him quitting on team.

He absolutely needs to play. It’s imperative.

It isn't about wasting 20M - we still got him for another 2 years... and I dont know we have the spare assets to move his contract. So you gotta try to rehab at least some kind of value and try to lower the cost of moving him. Failing to even get off the bench assures his contract is near impossible to move...

Rockets ruined Ryan Anderson by playing Joe Johnson over him. Killed his confidence the guy is afraid to shoot now. Poorly managed

......this is the smartest post of the day! We are going to likely lose the series, but it is imperative that we get Anderson some face time or he will be impossible to move in the offseason. He certainly won’t hurt us more than Green, who is out of control throwing ill timed shots up that we can’t afford when playing a great team like GS. Rockets need to think big picture as Anderson can have no lower trade value of anyone in the NBA than right now!!!

Then why does he refuse to shoot? I don't mean hesitate to shoot. The dude won't even look in the direction of the basket when he's passed the ball. He immediately passes it back to the other player. That's a lack of interest, not a lack of confidence. That's "T-Mac in Toronto" type of stuff.

The Rockets didn't play Johnson over him. Ryno injured himself in that game at Denver and was out for weeks. Brandan Wright probably would've gotten those minutes, but he also injured himself at Denver and never suited up again for the Rockets. So D'Antoni had to give those minutes at the 4 to someone and Johnson was the next man up.

Tmac at least led a team, Ryno was always a complementary player. Lack of interest, buy him out!

Just stop. you are being too logical. Too much damn logic.

I agree with you, but i think you had to get him on the court before now. it's hard to throw a cold fish into the fire in the most important game of the year. But there are definitely some minutes for a 6'10 shooter available in our rotation; especially with Mbah a Moute injured.

I've always maintained that we need Anderson playing well to have a chance against the Warriors. Unfortunately, he's turned into a bum over the last year. But still, I'd throw him out there and give him a chance.

Play Ryno on the road, Green at home.

at this stage i have lost all my patience with Ryno. He doesn't shoot, can't defend. Maybe even worse than Qi who can at least play some D.

you’re not recouping any value from Ryno in the WCF against GS...he’s a lost cause this season, it is what it is

we’re trying to win the series, and having his useless ass out there scared to shoot and not making any impact on D will just hurt the team...D’antoni has benched him for a reason

I hear what yer sayin... but, for example, Ryno coulda played the entire 4th qtr last game... that game was a lost cause by the end of the 3rd... 4th qtr shoulda been force feed ryno and try to inflate his numbers - he played a little over 5 minutes...
this post season he is 7-18.... all u need is 7-10 in garbage time and he's shotting 50% for the post season... then yer selling some bs like - "we love Ryno, but since we dont use a traditional center set and we're all about MDA's 7 second offense... we need more movement on the perimeter and while Ryno is a great shooter he's just not quick enough for the role we need him to fill... but the way your team feeds your center in the post, he could def provide the spacing your team needs...' ...Morey can figure out some bs to sell - lol
