Kevin Durant played in a pro-am game in Seattle on Sunday, and scored 63 points in 62 shots. And when I say he played, I mean he basically played the entire game, missing just a mere 15 seconds of the total 51 minutes. KD jumped at the chance to return to Seattle, where he started his NBA career. From an article on ESPN.com, Durant was ecstatic to be playing back where he started it all. I just want to say I miss you guys. Thank you for the warm welcome. I can’t wait to come back. Fellow NBA player Jamaal Crawford has his own summer league where he sets up pro-am games. Sunday’s Seattle game was important to Kevin Durant, and according to ESPN, he got in contact with Crawford to try to make an appearance. He reached out to me to come perform before in front of you guys. He loves Seattle. He took his own jet. He spent a lot of money to come up here and perform in front of you guys. This was Durant’s first showing in Seattle since the SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City in 2008, so it was a big deal for the NBA superstar. I think it’s safe to say that his fans were excited to see him play in Seattle as well. http://fansided.com/2013/08/12/kevin-durant-drops-63-points-in-return-to-seattle/
Am I the only one concerned about players playing in these leagues during the summer? They could injure themselves over some meaningless games. imagne Harden torning his ACL and missing the season over some dumb league...
Players are gonna be more careful when playing in leagues like this, since getting hurt is probably a violation of their contract and could result in them not getting paid. But they gotta keep their skills up somehow. Durant took 62 shots to score that much, so he probably wasn't getting to the free throw line that much. A lot of injuries happen from contact and it sounds like he was avoiding contact.

Sign up the guy guarding him if he made him take 62 shots to get to 63 pts. *I'm not really serious by the way*
Who's the black kid in e beginning of the video? He has some sick handles.... Surprise he's not in the NBA
It's not really all that different from practice, if you notice most guys who play in these game avoid contact, hence the ridiculous box scores because no one takes D seriously.
