Les and Morey have made their decision and their bed, so now they can lay in it.

Les gave Morey the reigns and he screwed it up and now Les is taking back those reigns...

If Rick did go over Morey's head and things go well... i can see Les giving Rick the GM job...

Signing Anderson 3 years ago when he was a healthy 25 year old on a cheap contract to be a role player isn't the same as signing him for 4 years/ $80 million when he's 28 and injury prone to be your second best player.

I think he's a decent role player, but it's a big investment for a guy who doesn't make us into a contender and it sacrifices a lot of flexibility

Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Ryan Anderson, The Brow

I dont think swapping the brow for harden overcomes Beverley vs Jrue Holiday or Tyreke vs Clint Capela.

And that Pelicans team was not even close to the playoffs

I was wondering the exact same thing. These signings reek of desperation after DM's star chasing fell flat (again).

Morey got Harden and Dwight. I wouldn't say his star chasing has failed.

We weren't in the running for new stars because Harden really isn't a draw for stars anymore

Yeah and it's so bad that people are delusional in their belief that adding two often injured vet shooters for crazy money makes us a top team and is something we should all be excited about.

Ok so they basically hate every signing this offseason then? What I'm saying is you can't "hate" the signings the Rockets made because compared to other deals they were better, and if a podcast maker doesn't see or even acknowledge that then he's not worth listening to because either he's biased or he's mad at all of the signings done in the entire free agency, which is ridiculous because this is the new normal of the NBA, with the cap increasing even more next year guys will be signing for even MORE money, not less.

Its not crazy money, you're not gonna find anyone signing for less than what the Rockets gave, even no names are getting 12.5M a year so how is 11M for Gordon crazy? This is an entire strawman argument you are building, please find me one post which said the Rockets will now compete against GSW or Cavs?

What people are excited about is the team finally has some direction and Gordon and Anderson make the team immediately better, at least now when Harden struggles offensively he'll have somebody else to carry the load other than Beverly and Ariza. How does that translate into multiple championship dynasty in the making? You mean people aren't even allowed to see the positives into such a signing and should always focus on the downsides of transactions every single time?

I can't believe I hate the Anderson signing but here I am forced to defend it because posters like you are so overly dramatic and exaggerate everything that happens. This is why the board is so toxic nowadays, every single thing that happens a certain subset of the posting population acts like the Rox just doomed themselves for the next 1000 years.
