Give me a break. The competition at lifetime is hardly up to Amare/Boozer/Gasol standards. He's just not ready to play
I'm surpised J. Foster didn't break the story this morning, it's all we talked about off the air. This should be very interesting.
You guys-- I love Dream as much as the next guy. What he meant to us during those title runs is immeasurable, and throughout his whole career as a Rocket. But do we really want to see his career officially end this way? A shell of his former self? I am certainly the last one to question Dream's passion and dominance on the floor, but I am a little wary (albeit excited) about this move. Just my two cents.
I disagree, I think he can play big minutes... He's probably in better shape than Mutumbo, we can use him to switch offense and defense so he can preserve himself for the dream shake. If we do that who knows... he might be able to play for another 5 years, he should have never retired.
Whatever. Obviously, you've never battled Cory and Trevor on the low block. Lifetime pickup ball is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Guys, I know many of you are thinking this could be a bs story. But I just sent an email to Jonathan Feigen inquiring about this today morning, and he responded simply with this: [rquoter] An announcement with Hakeem is scheduled for later today. I expect it has to do with the monument, but I'm hearing there could be something more to it. Stay tuned. -- JF [/rquoter] Ok ... now this is interesting ...
Um...my buddy just emailed me and said 790 is reporting "big news" involving the Rockets to be announced later today... WTF? I thought this was a joke. Is this actually serious?? All kidding aside, I really don't want Hakeem to tarnish his legacy like this.
I just text messaged my ball boy friend who also posts on this board (not telling his name, don't want people bombarding him) He said "just had the jersey made" This is exactly what he told me right before we signed Stevie and it happened!!!!! GOOOO ROOOCKKKKEEETTTSSS!!!!
It looks like the joke might actually be on those who are SO sure that this isn't for real. Very clever, Clutch!!
