http://twitter.com/drpemberton/status/20591896383 This from Joe Dumars: "We have not signed Tracy McGrady, discussing it, definitely haven't signed"
That could be Daye instead unless he's getting the Darko treatment http://www.freep.com/article/201007...Dayes-offense-could-get-him-a-look-at-2-guard Stuckey, Bynum, White Hamilton, Gordon, McGrady Prince, Jerebko, Daye (SG, SF, PF?) Charlie V, Wilcox, Summers Monroe, Wallace
I'll believe it when he signs, seems to me that a lot of teams would be very interested for a 1 year min deal. That would be a low risk/high reward deal.
Jumped the gun on the thread OP The time to hate on Tracy's new team isn't here just yet. Be patient.
Detroit would at least give him the chance to show what he's got left. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so he'd at least get some garbage minutes to get into shape. I'm not a T-mac hater by any means. I'm glad he's off of the Rockets, but I think it's time we let it rest. Let him play for another team already.
I think so... Also, I like your sig. I think Ariza is going to have a great year with a complete team.
Ehh, draftexpress is a very credible source and a source that has been used on a number of occasions. I would assume Dumars confirms the story tomorrow and TMAC becomes a Piston very soon.
Would bet anything that "source close to the situation" referenced in draftexpress's tweet is "source close to McGrady," which has a tentency to overstate the level of interest in McGrady.
WojYahooNBA GM Joe Dumars tells Y! Sports that Detroit's had internal talks on Tracy McGrady, but haven't decided on extending him an offer.
But the story with the Bulls is that they signed Bogans and T-mac knows his chances are over. So it's the opposite story. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/18798/what-next-for-t-mac

No, i meant its the same way the bulls story began....bulls said they were just checking him out and nothing was certain and they ended up passing on him....so now the pistons are also just "taking a look", so it's premature to assume that'll progress to an actual signing.
