Makes them significantly better in the short-term... that's a lot of money though for two guys who are signed for the next couple of seasons and are just role players.

    Weird.

I'm officially jealous of the New Orleans Hornets... one year of calculated tanking and they are well on their way.

We've reached a new low. But hey, at least we aren't the Clippers... oh, wait.. Well, we're definitely not the Timberwolves, lol... crap.. We're still better than the Kings, though.
    For now.

    Wall
    Beal
    Ariza
    Nene
    Okafor

Throw in Vessely, a couple role players and you have a really solid team.

The Kings at least have a franchise center in Cousions, along with Tyreke and a top 5 pick.

Looks like the first domino has been knocked over. I look forward to a week full of NBA Draft trades, in which the Houston Rockets obtain significantly better players, which in turn makes us a legitimate contender, and ultimately making us better than the New Orleans Hornets.

So now the Hornets are going to get Davis, with no bad contracts and cap space along with Gordon and #10? F***! They can probably get a star (D-will) to sign with them now.

Eh, solid, but nowhere near a title contender unless Beal turns out to be a superstar -- I know he's projected to be good, but can he carry a team?

I guess they'll be happy with contending with the 5-8 seed in the East for a couple of years and then go fishing with their cap space. That frontcourt and their binding contracts are brutal, though.

So NO gets rid of 2 bad contracts AND they keep both top 10 picks... Good trade for them

I guess they're trying to develop Wall by surround him a much better cast so he can finally start living up to his potential.

they're just patching things up temporarily....they may actually become pretty competitive though...but not good enough to contend...

    Wall
    Crawford
    MKG
    Nene
    Okafor

It won't be long before Wall is a top 5 PG, gotta factor that in.

I'm happy for them. Dell Demps is the man and Ernie Grunfeld reminds everyone to scratch their heads one more time about why he hasn't been fired yet.

This is a seriously incredible move for the Hornets!

So NO has the #1 and #3 pick?

And they got rid of one of the worst shooting starters in the league and an underachiever?

NO is on a roll. Now let's see if they draft wisely, and see if things pan out. They will suck again for the next year or 2, but the foundation is laid out.

EG + Davis + more young high draft picks => bright future.

That's a terrible trade for Orlando. Nene and Okafur are negatives because their contracts are terrible. The New Jersey deal is better than that one, or the Lakers deal.

they don't have the 3 pick. They got the 46 pick. Regardless, it was a great move. Who wouldn't want to come play with ADavis?
