How badly would the heat be slaughtered?
I think the heat might win one game

    Dream versus ??? [Haslim?]
    Thorpe versus Bosh
    Horry versus LeBron
    V Maxwell Versus DWade
    K Smith Versus Chalmers

    Bench
    Sam Cassell Versus Cole
    Mario Ellie Versus Battier
    Carl Herrera Versus J Jones/Turiad
    Matt Bullard Versus M Miller

Thorpe is a banger but he had a decent shot from outside if need be.
This was not OLD HORRY but YOUNG HORRY . . good lateral movement long arms and excellent defense. Nice off the ball movement
back in the days of MAD MAXX!!!!!

The ultimate NBA TEAM versus the BIG THREE
Inside Out versus Drive and Dish

that was a good team, but cmon.....were talking Lebron and miami hitting like 90% at the line and getting to the line at will.....thats why Miami cruised vs OKC.....if Lebron and co hits 90% all season the heat prob beat 72-10.....you cant really have debates like this bc as you saw Miami played out of its mind and a very good shooting team like OKC didnt.....for a few games

I'd like to see LeBron try to guard Hakeem, just for fun.

We got them easily. We are good enough to repeat. Had a center that would destroy theirs. Horry can lock Lebron down as good as anyone could. I think Thorpe is better than Bosh. Elie and Maxwell could easily handle Wade. We have them at point guard, bench, and coaching. Then heart? No question.

Sorry as ridiculous as Bron played the 94 Rockets would have cruised past these guys. A dominant center > a dominant wing player, Miami has no size and wouldn't get open 3's against the Rockets with Olajuwon and Thorpe dominating the boards.

    Horry Defense >>> Durant's Defense
    Max's Defense >>> Westbrook / HArdin Defense
    Thorpe Defense >>> Ibaka/Collison defense

I believe the Rockets would win in 6, but you can't expect to post this here without everyone having a biased opinion.

you guys are missing the point of Durant got destroyed bc of how frail he was.....Horry wasn't exactly ron Artest, Lebron got to the line at will and more importantly he capitalized there.....I'll give credit where credit is due, Heat played an unreal series and probably won't play that well again ever, but this is a rockets forum so i expect my fellow rockets fans to blow off heat

Come on. These are our guys just on the bench alone.

    Matt Bullard
    Mario Elie
    Sam Cassel
    Scott Brooks

    Then the starters and coach.

Lol I've seen this particular debate about the '12 Heat vs '94 Rockets on other forums. But it seems like most think the Rockets would get slaughtered. Then they always sneak in the crap about Jordan being absent that season at the end.

who gives a crap. I don't see a point in discussing this unless you just want to bash the heat and talk about how great we used to be.

we talking before or after hand check rules came into effect? before? sweep for Rockets. after? too much to overcome the crab dribbles, and constant iso's and flopping. Heat win 4-2

So then it would be impossible for Hakeem to tutor LeBron, so it'll be pre-Hakeem taught LeBron.

Rockets win a sweep. Anybody who has seen Clutch City with their eyes would know that.

Everyone else who picked the Heat can't find Houston on a map of Houston.

Laugh, who guards Dream? He goes for like, 48/22/3/13/8 each game, total sweep. LBJ and Wade get 0 points in the point, come on man....
