That's not the argument at all, I'm not saying "he isn't good because", he IS good, it's just we haven't seen more of it because he hasn't had the opportunity to show it off better. The original argument was "If he is so good, why doesn't he get more than garbage minutes", the answer is because the coach hasn't chosen to play him more than that, but that has nothing to do with his talent level.
Motiejunas 18 points (6/10 FG, 1/2 3PFG, 5/6 FT), 7rebs, 2ast, 2stl, 2blk in 26 minutes. Named player of the match. Didn't fall after dunk. somehow.
It's a small sample size but if the Rockets can get an upgrade at the one without trading Jones/DMO, you'd have to like their chances to at least maintain last year's level of play. At some point, I am hoping the Rockets brain trust realizes you have to let young players figure things out on the court.
Not that I saw, he's just not a very good player or rather he had a really bad game. Also, they have that "Greek Freak" kid who is a lot better at the same position.
hes 3pt shooter, so if he isnt shooting 3pts or they arent falling, there is much else he does. Obviously it just my opinion but i think Dmo is much more complete player, even though his 3pt shooting is suspect.
So I take it you must think he had a good game? Well that's one theory. 4 turnovers to 5 points on 5 shots is what I'd call a "really bad game".
