People who say loosing your #2 option isn't an impact must have an agenda. When you add that loss to loosing arguably your best PG defender, its too much to expect the team to be able to compete for the championship. People clearly have an agenda...and no amount of facts are going to change that.
In a perfect world we would have signed Whiteside last summer instead of Dorsey, Adrien, and Ish Smith...and kept Jones playing with Smith on the second unit.

There was no way of knowing Whiteside would end up being worth a damn after being worthless for so many years.
Jones has been an excellent finisher in limited games this year. All the rest of our bigs, Dmo, Dorsey, and Smith, have been well below average.
Running the pick and roll is about more than just finishing at the rim. I agree that Jones has been excellent finishing at the rim and everyone else other than Dwight and Capela are bad at it.
it was a nerve issue and they went in and fixed the problem. It's not something that should be a concern going forward, but it does keep him out for a few months which means the Rockets' season is effectively over.
There was a way of knowing Dorsey WOULDN'T BE WORTH A .... AFTER BEING WORTHLESS FOR SO MANY YEARS! Whiteside has a 9'6" standing reach, he's athletic, and he grew out to 275 lbs of solid muscle base. You might not could have seen him coming. But I could.
On this particular subject you are talking to a brick wall. T. Jones isn't important to this team has to be the most ridiculous statement I've read. How can you route for your team when you're always knocking a player down. Jones is very important to this teams success period.
He's going on 26, is a 5 year veteran and was playing in Lebanon and China before coming to the D league. Im happy that he turned it around, but he was hardly a "sure thing" in the D league. Riley and company deserve a ton of credit
Looks like he had a lumbar microdisectomy from the news report I'm reading. https://kr.ihc.com/ext/Dcmnt?ncid=520444816
Injury luck this year has been horrible. You lose a much improved DMo for the year. And replace him with Jones who was playing great until the rib injury. Jones probably should have sat out longer.
I'm not sure if it's the injury, but Jones really needs to get his s**t together. He wasn't boxing out, he was missing rotations and just looks lost. At the moment losing D-mo is looking like a crippling loss.
Dude is not fully recovered from his injury. Losing Dmo plus Jones not being at 100%is a big time loss. Oh losing Bev is a big time blow to our team as well.
DMo had a herniated disc (in layman's terms, slipped disc) that was pinching his back nerves. Prognosis is surgery relieves a lot of the pain immediately, but he needs several months to rest from strenuous activities.
