Yeah, but it would be a lot easier if you had a shot. When they respect your jumper, it creates more space to drive and a lot of different things you can do with the ball. You'll never see a great scorer who doesn't have at least a decent jumpshot (all of them eventually develop a decent jumpshot).

A player who can't shoot is a whole lot easier to guard.

YES, attacking the basket is good but, if they dont develop in their jumpers it will hurt them later in their career when they start to lose some of that athletic ability and speed.......

AB0 has that quickness/athleticism, the jump shot, the ballhandling.

Once he improves his consistency and his playmaking, he can fit that mold of PG of the future. Hopefully he does.

I dunno if this has been posted, but anyways, its Wall dunking over Jerry Stackhouse at a pick up game.

Yeah, Motiejunas stock has dropped dramatically in the last couple of months(7'0 with a 6'11 wingspan), right now he projected to go top 10(7,8,9) on ESPN.....meanwhile John Wall is predicted to be top 3 if not 1 in the draft http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2010/index .....

I think that this are the players (listed below) with the highest upside in the Draft that the Rockets should target (not in any particular order).... given that this season doesn't look like its going to be all that great :(

    Top 10 (in my opinion)
    John Wall
    Derrick Favors
    Ed Davis
    John Henson
    Greg Monroe
    Donatas Motiejunas
    Paul George
    Larry Sanders
    Cole Aldrich
    Craig Brackins

I was near tears the day he committed to UK ;) So this is not at all an unusual occurrence where the boy is concerned! LOL

Even if the rockets don't get the first pick.....Picks 1-10 seem really promising, in this strong draft..... :D

Possible scenario we have a really bad season and get like 1-5 pick....I think Derrick Favor, Greg Monroe or Donatas Montiejunas are all good choices for the pick :D

    Derrick Favor 6'10 (1-4pick)
(this video was mostly when he was a 16 yr old Junior in High School
my favorite player besides John Wall in this draft)

Greg Monroe 6'11 (Great rebounder which would be great next to Yao)

Before the end of the season, I predict all of you are going to want Patrick Patterson or DeMarcus Cousins. :)

Idk. I think that guy that makes weird noises has a more killer crossover :D

Don't get too attached. He's only gonna be there for 1 season.

*this is coming from a bitter Baylor fan :p

DeMarcus seems interesting but Patterson is undersized for the PF position, and we already have undersized players like Landry and Hayes at that position....we need size and length....Aldrich is another interesting prospects the Rockets should look at, he provides both size and length, standing at 6'11 with a 7'6 wingspan and runs the floor well...:)

Patrick is 6'9" with a 7'2" wingspan He's not really undersized for a PF. He is for the center position he's been playing. But with Cousins and Orton he can play the 4 and expand his game. He's Blake Griffin sized.

Yeah, I got those measurements from NBA draft.net(have no idea if there precise with there measurements) http://www.nbadraft.net/players/patrick-patterson they have him listed at 6'8, but his wingspan definitely helps him (essentially measures the same as McGrady, according to their measurements).......eventually it comes down to where the rockets are in the Draft and who's available at that position (Im hoping we are in the top 10 in this draft :D )

John Wall, no question. A jumpshot can be developed.

LOL I just caught this. It was touch and go that last week. I'd have weeped if he had ended up at Baylor.

If one season is all I get, it will still be a very very fun one season. :)
