In general, I am offended by the whole off season. Let's throw in the first round of the playoffs too.

To me it just means Harden would be the 3rd highest player on the team and it wouldn't make since to DMo, that Parsons be paid more than Harden

Hmmmm is correct. That quote was barely in English. Anybody care to translate what DMO really said on defense?

DMo also challenged Dwight Howard to "catch him" in his introductory press conference

If he said these things , they have to take it in context .... Its easy to see that this quote is being taken out of context.
Its not about the dollar value , its about being the alpha dog on the court.

DMo is not happy to be just a role player or a replaceable piece in the team. He is trying to vent his displeasure through his country's media.

So let me get this straight. Carl gets defensive when a poster creates a thread complaining about the negativity in the GARM, and thinks its directed his smear campaign against Harden.

Then the very next day, Carl proceeds to take a Lithuanian interview with D-Mo that is translated in English where the context is clearly not clear to insinuate that Harden cares about being paid more than the next guy.... which is obviously a negative jab.

Look... D-Mo's quote today could mean a lot of things. He could be speaking more about how if he was Harden, he would care that Parsons is getting paid more than him when he's made two all-star games in a row, and has carried the team out of the gutter since he arrived in Houston while Parsons is getting paid based on the performance they "think" he might live up to in a couple of years if he develops his game more.

Or maybe D-Mo did want to take a jab at Harden for being selfish, a bad teammate, and clearly being a greedy SOB, but that's all up for interpretation. I certainly don't see that level of intent here.... even though obviously Carl is headline cherry picking like a National Equirer writer... in order to further his campaign.

Also.... its in freaking Lithuanian. Ever heard the term "Lost in Translation"....?

If D-Mo was trying to bash Harden here he probably wouldn't have followed up the next comment (that was obviously trying to bait D-Mo into saying something negative) about Harden's comments about "role players" with a comment essentially saying "maybe the comment was taken out of context". All of this is probably much to do with nothing.

Its sad that a poster as smart & well written as Carl would continue to insult the intelligence of everyone on the GARM in order to try and turn more people against Harden as anti-fans. If you hate Harden that much, you basically hate the Rockets since he's their best player, is going to be here for awhile, and you should probably just save yourself the heart attack thats clearly coming in the future by just leaving the Rockets alone & rooting for another team with a more likable star.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but Bosh would have been paid more right?

Also guys we have to note that D-Mo is one of the hardest workers on the Rockets, and we all root for him to realize his potential given what it means for the team long term but....

The guy has always talked a ton of Sh#$.

Even going back to day 1 as a Rocket & has followed him even into last year when that attitude led him to ask for a trade, and has never shut up about getting more PT. His draft press conference was basically him thumping his chest at the rest of the NBA, and Dwight Howard as well. On draft night analysts on the program noted his attitude and said they wouldn't want to take him because of things like this.

However it has come off as laughable 99% of the time ("into the woods with the Wolves"... "Eagles....etc." etc. etc.) so we haven't really taken his attitude seriously.

D-Mo is a fan favorite to alot of guys because he's very entertaining and has an incredible upside if he can fix alot of his issues. However, we really shouldn't take anything he says that seriously when he's talking crap because he's been talking crap since day 1 of being a professional basketball player... and its part of the reason why he's been such an entertaining follow.
