I liked the Rockets to take this kid last year before he pulled out of the draft and I wish they had because this year he could go in the top 3 out of the reach of the Rockets. Donatas probably pulled out of the draft because of his position in pre-draft scouting which put him below other bigs like Favors and Monroe at that particular time.

With the way the Rockets roster is built right now, they should take a hard look at this kid and see if he has potential to be up there with Pau Gasol or Dirk.

The organization needs a new rising star... might not be Hakeem but there is nothing wrong with Dirk or Pau...

If he's available in the range the Rockets are projected to draft at... they should take a hard look at him or trade up in the draft to get him.

Apparently his favorite NBA player is Luis Scola.

As positive as that report started, it turned into:

Which means he can be a good player, but never a real star or superstar unless that mentality changes. While a different skill-set, Bargnani had all that upside too.

    So basically his outlook is

    At Best =
    Dirk Nowitzki or Pau Gasol

At Worst = a cross between Channing Fry & Darko Milicic

He doesn't rebound as well as Darko
...at worst Frye + Barg combo lite

I really like what this kid brings to the table in terms of swagger and physical intimidation -- he has a look that strikes fear in to his opponents. Almost Charles Oakley-esque... anyone else getting this vibe?

He looks like the kid from "Dazed and Confused".
