Donatas Motiejunas cleared to return to Rockets practice

Ah yes, the infamous "soft schedule." Good times!

 

No real contenders during that stretch, amirite?

I feel bad for DMO. Rockets need him desperately, but no way he lives up to expectation this board has placed on him coming off of back surgery.

 

Pretty much, people will soon grow to hate him

 

I feel like we've been given a box of chocolates. Is it real?

 

D-MO won't be hated. He might struggle offensively or whatever, but the effort will be there and all these screens and moving the ball will be there. Obviously a payer needs time and he must play some 5 on 5 in the first place, but all those shooting practices make a hope he'll be pretty good offensively fast.

 

Some of the KneeJerk Minions will drink his blood cuz he's been hyped up so much in here and their probably expecting a 15 game win streak with him averaging 25pts and 13 boards LOL.

He will definitely lift the IQ out there once he starts playing. Still, I expect him to be rusty, maybe less fluid and more hesitant his first few games. And rightfully so, because he will need to be concerned about re-injuring his back.

 

No expectation no disappointment.

 

D-Mo was a huge part of our success last season... until he got hurt he had won us a few games..i believe his on court presence will make a difference..

 

Dmo is going to help this team and especially Harden out a lot. We can finally run the offense we ran last year and get a lot of good shots.

I'm telling you guys that high screen dmo sets Harden up top that he can slip him the pocket pass is the staple of our offense. We've sorely missed that play. Just having another guy who can keep the ball moving without taking a dribble is going to do wonders for this team.

Obviously James is still the most important player on our team but dmo is like our draymond green in the fact he's abke to make passes quickly and correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if the rockets look like an entirely new team with him on the court. We need to go 15-5 over our next 20 games. Dmo is back it starts now.

 

To me cleared for practice doesn't mean cleared to play games.

I'm happy he has made it to this point but I don't expect him to be on the court for another couple of weeks. I'm assuming this will be the first time in a while he'll be able to participate in contact drills/scrimmage. Meaning it'll take him some time to get back into game shape and in back into the groove of playing in games.

 

My god, what a perfect storm for DMo.

• Contract year
• Cap exploding next year
• The team is a world class disappointment without him
• His position has no clear starter, may be teams's weakest spot (all respect to Capela)

If his return coincides with any noticeable increase in team performance — either because of him or just due to other factors — then he is GOLDEN.

 

This is the perfect opportunity for him to ball out.

If he comes back, goes off and rights the ship, dude's getting the max.

dmo and capela are the future...dwight will end his career in houston with a tyson chandler contract as the first big off the bench...and we turn our season around too...and jones eventually finds his penis
