This time he has commuted the 40 month jail sentence Roger Stone was to serve starting next week. Stone lied to the hearing to cover up for Trump and now in return, Trump has given his pal a get out of jail free card. It matters not how poorly the Russia investigation against him was cobbled together, you can't flaunt justice in the eyes of a public who seeks integrity in it's leaders. He gone too far and now has to go. I wasn't very enthused with him before this but one can only endure so much before he gets tipped over the edge. I couldn't post the link - it's from CNN, a network I don't put much trust in but this seems to check out.
Yes, *now* he has to go. This totally unexpected pardon/commutation is just too damn much for his supporter(s) to handle. I will give credit where credit is due though, I hope more of his 2016 voters see the light.
Yes Stone is guilty of 7 felonies. According to some logic it would be okay to shoot and kill him. If he didn't want to get shot he shouldn't break the law.
There are those who misunderstand why some people voted for Trump. Trump is that handicapped Uncle that nobody wants to invite because he is a grown child. He's manageable if everyone keeps on eye on him. The other option was the bat **** crazy ex inlaw who stays in touch with the family but should have left the family a long time ago. We had to pick one. Unfortunately COVID requires an adult. Those who have been passive about the fool in the White House are now starting to demand accountability. Of course nobody was surprised about Roger Stone. COVID is bringing more people to their common sense (even tho its not nearly enough).
The fact that Donald's trajectory is heading down like a boat anchor is why his sycophants are suddenly calling him out. Rats fleeing from a sinking ship. If he still gave them all guarantee of power they'd all still be kissing his @ss. There's nothing noble going on there.
Trump attacks Lindsey Graham after SCOTUS rulings https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/09/trump-attacks-lindsey-graham-supreme-court-355013 President Donald Trump took a swing at Sen. Lindsey Graham on Thursday in the aftermath of two Supreme Court decisions involving his closely held financial records, lamenting that the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman and close Trump ally was not doing enough to target the president’s political foes. Trump’s tweets came after a Supreme Court decision upheld a Manhattan grand jury subpoena seeking his tax returns and other financial documents as part of a criminal investigation into the practices of the Trump Organization. In response, Trump complained that former President Barack Obama was not receiving enough scrutiny over his administration’s decision to open up a counterintelligence investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian government in 2016. “We have a totally corrupt previous Administration, including a President and Vice President who spied on my campaign, AND GOT CAUGHT...and nothing happens to them. This crime was taking place even before my election, everyone knows it, and yet all are frozen stiff with fear,” Trump wrote on Twitter. He specifically called out Graham’s committee, writing: “No Republican Senate Judiciary response.” The president’s claim doesn’t take into account the fact that Graham (R-S.C.) is running a wide-ranging investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation and was granted broad subpoena power to compel testimony from several former senior Obama administration officials. Graham did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump’s jab. Earlier this year, Trump pushed Graham to issue a subpoena to Obama himself, demanding that he be put under oath. But Graham has swiftly rejected those calls, arguing it would set a dangerous precedent. Trump has continued to push for such an action. While Thursday’s Supreme Court rulings handed Trump a loss in the Manhattan case, the justices punted on a separate case involving congressional subpoenas for similar financial records, all but ensuring that the documents will not reach Congress or the public until after Election Day.
