i want to take my mutt out to play after work, anyone know of any off leash parks besides millie bush?
Bone yard is cool. There's a thread with a bunch of them mentioned, i can't do a search from my phone though.
A couple miles from Millie Bush (it's like 2 miles north of i10 maybe) off highway 6 there is one much bigger than Millie. It's got an agility area and so on. There's also a very small one directly below the 610/59 intersection on West Park.
bone yard...no idea how i didn't know about this place. thanks! awesome. does the one near 610/59 show up on maps?
Montrose and Allen Parkway is an unofficial one. At the bottom of the bowl along the Bayou. Cops don't care. Many dogs. You'd park on the southside of Allen Parkway, just west of Montrose.
The one by Home Depot near the Galleria is nice (it's actually off of the 610 loop). Big dog and small dog park. I usually just go to the one off I believe San Felipe or Woodway (can't remember what road) but it's turned into all dirt. If I don't feel like driving, Logan Park near Memorial Park, but some of the uppity neighbors get all pissy when their own dogs go wild because yours isn't on a leash. I planted a tree there. **** 'em.
Forgot about this. Love this place, although it's kinda hard to find for a person going there for the first time.
Aim for the Dandelion Fountain! And watch the Bats under the Waugh bridge take flight after walking your dog!
I go there. It shows up as Buffalo Bayou Dog Park on google maps. West Webster Dog Park is small and in the city. Boneyard at I-10 and Washington Ave, as stated itt, is pretty awesome too.
There's one sort of in mid-town, on Webster/Taft area. (West Webster Dog Park) Also off Richmond/Dunlavy (Ervan Chew Park)
Even though I see it mentioned, I'll say it again: we take MAX, our Beagle/mutt mix dog, to Bill Archer Dog Park between Clay and Patterson on Highway 6, north of I-10 near Katy.
