He reminds me of Ralph Sampson when we first drafted him-Sampson entered the dunk competition his rookie year- if memory serves he pulled a 360 but did'nt get out of the first round

There's an interesting thought. Do you think Yao Ming will be invited to the Dunk contest next year? I mean, it's all about ratings anyway and aside from all the international interest, I bet plenty domestically will enjoy watching a 7-5 rookie show his stuff.

That would be awesome if Ming was in the dunk contest. It would look funny seeing a 7-5 guy do a 360.

just imagine if he could stick his elbow in the rim like vince, but with out jumping. Shoot if he did that he could grab a ball from the top of the back board and dunk it.

If you watch the Ming NBA workout which is available on ESPN.com they have a situation where Ming is thrown an Ally-oop pass. It is hilarious! It looks like he is dunking on a 9 foot rim. It is so effortless. Like I said in another thread it is like me dunking on a nerf basketball rim on my bedroom door. Who needs hops when it is that easy to dunk?

Ming in the dunk contest? That would be hilarious!

Actually on the Chicago Pre Draft Camp it says when Ming reach with one arm is 9'7", which means he needs a 5 inch vertical to dunk :D . Which I am sure he has.
