Lawls so by that logic no one else is really a superstar other than Lebron right. Or is he not as well since the NBA right now is "weakest" you've ever watched.

True but the funny thing is McGrady was always consistent in the playoffs, almost every game.

    Numbers were consistent.

If Harden has an awful game, he would still go to the FT stripe and make his 6, 7 points and make his 13-15 pts look at least average.

there aint many...stephen curry for sure...let me tell you this, you'd never see kobe bryant or TMAC or jordan get locked down by george friggin hill, ok? or any other long defender, ONE on ONE. harden has got a great supporting cast, any of those guys with this squad would beat this team, easily.

So Tayshaun Prince never gave Tmac trouble when he was at Orlando? Okay.

James is better now than McGrady ever was, neither is tough enough to deliver their team to the promise land. Neither has the heart of a champion

With Tbak we would not even get past the first round.

    We're the lower seed
Tmac lost to Utah when we had home court advantage

TMAC was not in his prime when we faced the jazz. his shot was broke after his back went out. Even with a bad back, still led to the rockets to a 22 game win streak. And mcgrady was the main reason, not Yao.

We faced the Jazz twice, they were suppose to be a worse team than us.

    They had a worse record.

You can't give Tmac credit for a streak where he didn't even play 22 games.

If Tmac was not in his prime, why did we trade for him?

I'm not talking about the second loss to the Jazz, we lost twice to them.

Actually Tmac only appeared in 3 playoff series. Dallas, Utah, and Utah.

The Rockets team play with a different hero every game was the reason for the 22 game winning streak. Rick Adelman was the reason with his motion offense.

and the answer is that Tmac fans are desperate so they bump old threads because James Harden is pretty much erasing the failure that was the Tracy McGrady era of the Rockets.
0 playoff series victories. Only played in 20 playoff games.
Trade to the Knicks so they can dump 20 million to go after LeBron.

    History doesn't lie.

    Only Tracy McGrady fans lie.

@tinman i feel ya l, but I know you must have reservations for what Harden is doing right now especially in games where the pressure is bunkers. Looks like a frame of Mcfail offense against Gsw. Maybe it wasn't just on Kevin since James is duplicating his failures here too.

The naked truth was the Rox were so eager to pair him up with Yao that they did not see this coming.

Also more naked truth is that he only was in his prime the first year and half.

The other 3 or 4 years he was still very good the first half, injured and not elite any more.

Then he was deteriorating faster you could call Second Round!

Also he was not here very long (5 or 6 seasons), Harden should be staying longer.

I truly question someone's Rocket fandom when they try to associate playoff success to McGrady
It's like the people who got 3 numbers right in The lottery and insist they should have got the other 3 and won

McGrady has never sniffed playoff success
There should never be a comparison to harden unless this a first round elimination

you must really hate TMAC..did you watch that series? He was the beginning and end of that rockets team. he played all those 22, yao got injured for the last ten games. tmac played through the flu.

    -- TMAC

he was in his prime when we got him, in the dallas series, then his back spams started happening, and then after that knee problems.

of course the whole team has to play well for any team to win 22 game winning streak. but he was the superstar, the one facilitating and setting people up. Rick adelman was the reason? lol. how is rick responsible for a 6-9 2/3 with the handles of a point guard who can set people up off the drive mid air and pass to the corner without it getting stolen, like harden. how is rick responsible for tracy being able to run around screens and rise up over any defender and get his shot off? rick is responsible for him being able to rise up over any defender 2 or three feet behind the 3 point line with a hand in his face? how is rick responsible for TMAC being able to work out of the high post, when the defense is taking away the perimeter? TMAC has always done that regardless of the coach. Rafer played really well hitting his threes, the whole team played good defense, including dikembe when yao went down.

and concerning the jazz, they were a very good team, with what, one of the best coaches of all time? yao couldn't hold boozer. they had multiple people who were able to post up for the wing positions, and they let derick fischer get away with murder on TMAC, hacking him all day. we didn't lose because of TMAC, we were only in the game, in the series, because of him. they knew how to expose yao ming and his weak transition defense, and post defense on anyone not named shaq. Clint capela would not let boozer camp out on the low block and hit fade away after fade away all day, he would contest those shots. and of course deron....they were a very good team and a bad matchup for us.

No you must really hate that Harden is significantly better than him as a Rocket and as an NBA player.

STOP LYING. He didn't play in all 22 games.
