To bring in Love we would be trading Asik(deal isn't official) and Lin to make up for the salaries, so we definitely stay over the cap and have our MLE.

Little under an hour left until free agency officially begins. It's been real quiet on the Rockets front. Usually a sign something unexpected is about to go down.

So my take on docs post are as follow:

Minnesota had a trade for us involving Love and Martin for us
but that was an Anthony Deal Breaker. The book Deal Breaker
    Won an Anthony award.

So we got greedy by trying to go for Melo and not taking
Love when we could have. " going All in first "on Love.

Now the trade hinges on who gives in first on Klay T. or
    Us in C. Parsons.

Maybe the first deal had something to do with that bigger
Asik deal with N.O. that some others have referenced.
This could have been done without giving Parsons but
Now it might be too late. Greed for the biggest fish killed us.

So prioritizing Lbj, melo, then Love could have cost us
Love for sure when Lbj was never really there and Melo
    Is favoring Chicago.

Too much money. Be patient and let's wait for Durant.

For those who don't want to look it up...

    I assume this means either:
    (a) it's not a strikeout because we got a hit (DocRocket thinks that Jordan Hill isn't bad)
    (b) it's not a strikeout because it's not our 3rd pitch/strike (we will still sign Lowry or some other FA)

Either way, the main point I guess is that we are probably getting Hill.

Jordan Hill is pretty much the definition of "strikeout" in my eyes.

Doesn't sound like a hit. Sounds more like a dribbler to the third base side.

Getting Jordan Hill likely means you traded Jones/Dmo, which likely means you landed Love.

or perhaps a lazy pop fly hit directly to the center fielder.

I shudder at the though of trying him at Center again. Every time he played the five it was horrifying.

If we are padding our bench, Jordan Hill would not be a strikeout.

Wow. Morey is in Philly to pitch to Lowry. Didnt Doc hint at this? He hinted at Philly, Lowry, and being first. Classic Doc.

Actually, here is what he is referencing...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>“<a href="https://twitter.com/TheRealG_Newt">@TheRealG_Newt</a>: What are we gonna do if we strike out on Lowry, Love, and Melo?” Uh...the respectable thing. <a href="http://t.co/jsM1HIIVBV">pic.twitter.com/jsM1HIIVBV</a></p>&mdash; Doc Rocket (@Thedocrocket) <a href="https://twitter.com/Thedocrocket/statuses/483103132675629056">June 29, 2014</a></blockquote>

Really? That dude was all hustle. Rebounds, energy, put backs.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3994/jordan-hill

Nice fg% and production for only 20 minutes a game. Knows how to be a role player. I like him. And he's better than he was the first time around.

He wouldn't be bad as a 3rd string PF or C if he could be had on a minimum deal, other than that, we can do better by doing nothing at all.

If you are not first to meet with the player, you're last.
